That's squarely in the tread. Easy to fix. An interior patch would be best. But a plug is probably fine also.

Gotta be a cash only independent tire shop around on the sketchy side of town run by people of questionable immigration status that will patch it no questions asked. That is what I usually do in similar situations.

Definitely looks repairable to me. It's not in the sidewall, it's in the tread

According to the US Tire Manufacturers Association guidelines, the OP's puncture is not in the repairable tread area of the tire. That is why most tire retailers won't plug / patch it.

Agreeing with the crown, I have a set of 38's on a vehicle that I plugged at home, had a #10 screw in it, never had another issue. Plug for convenience, patch on the inside is most correct.

It's leaking if that's what your asking but it's a tiny gauge wire/hole. No one will repair it at least the two big retailers I went to. You thinking a plug kit? I don't know options so pardon my ignorance on this.

I thought most tire shops will do an internal patch on something like that.

It's a liability thing for them. I had a similar issue once, I just offered cash and asked them to not put it in the system. They said ok. Just a thought.

That's what I said but I just got the same garbage about we need to put a 5mm hole in it to apply our patch. Time to look for smaller tire places..

I just had a small nail found in my tire basically in the same zone as yours. I didn't even know it was in there. Discount Tire patched it up for me quickly.
Any chance you're in the same state as me? Lol. They wouldn't touch it here. Even more telling, the other three cars that were in for patches also had to get new tires.

Are the tires Falken Wildpeak AT3W? They come with a manufacture's Road hazard warranty for two years or 2/32 tread wear whichever comes 1st. Free replacement in that time period if the tire is damaged and can't be repaired
