Have a special need little girl days can be rough she’s a trooper but by the end of the school well she’s done. We had a gladiator rental for a week taking the top of brought a smile.. with that said Im pricing a 23 gladitor sport s… One of the dislikes I have is tires it come with ( appearance) . Suggestions on upgrading to a more aggressive appearance regarding the tire without doing modifications? 99% of driving will be on road light off road at best.. trying to keep sound down on the tires….

Any Rubicon size (285/70/17) tire size will give you that more aggressive look on the Sport model without any other mods. You cannot go too crazy on aggressive tread pattern and expect to keep road noise down.

You want to look at all terrain tires that are more geared to SUV use that heavy trail use for noise abatement.

I would recommend something along the lines of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S tires or similar.

This.

I am running Rubi 285/70R17 take-offs on my truck. It's good for a 'filled out' appearance on a Sport and has been off-road just fine as well.

The Falken AT3W that came on Rubi's isn't 'loud', but its noticeable. I ran BF Goodrich KO2 before in the same size and liked them. Quiet when miles are low.

Look on marketplace for a set of rubicon or Mojave take offs. You can sometimes find a set of those wheels and tires for about what a new set of tires cost.

Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T is a great looking tire with performance to match.

Maxxis RAZR A/T would be another good candidate. I haven't used this one but have used the RAZR MT and it was and excellent tire.

When shopping, try to steer clear of E rated tires. The ride will be rough. Both listed above come in a 285/70-17 with a STD rated 4 ply sidewall. Get with @Discount Tire for a great deal.

Originally bought mine with the stock 245's on it. Found 5 gently used 285/70/17's BFG's on FB Marketplace and the initial difference was night and day. Okay, my marketplace finds were MT's and not AT's but the JT is a toy and not a DD.

You're going to drive 99% on roads, want a quieter tire, but have an aggressive appearance. Daily driver?

My '21 Willys Sport (bought used) came with very low mileage aggressive tires that looked similar to the ones above. Firestone Destination M/T 2. I found them to be rough riding and very noisy on the road. Great for off roading (which I don't do) so I just swapped them for highway tires. Bridgestone Dueler HT 685 OWL's. What a wonderful difference in ride, noise levels. I use mine as a daily driver and tow it behind my motorhome.

As has been said, 285/70-17 or any 35" x 11.5" tire will fit.

You have to decide on personal preference on the tread type. Ride is all subjective, what I like you may not.

With my work trucks that stay on the road, I have used Yokohama Geolander G015 and BFG Trail Terrain T/A tires. Again, not off road, but better than highway tires.

I looked those tires up both look like good options. When it comes down to it the tires/looks are for me… so not important in perspective … what is .. is my kid getting some enjoyment with the open air cab…

Agreed but I work from home now and my truck makes 3 trips a week. It is NOT a daily driver!

1. Friday - Happy Hour
2. Saturday - Beach
3. Sunday - Beach (When you live in CC there isn't much else but "Beach")
