I'm in the same boat as you... I almost want a rack that's like a shell, but is modular and open. Contoured and cab height would be fantastic. Not everyone likes a Rooftop tent for overlanding

Really like the DIY Pullout Camp Kitchen. I have a lot of 80/20 material and want to work something up with it. One idea is a mid height topper that transfers the OEM roll up tonneau to the top surface. Not sure how high the topper can be without looking too boxy. The bed is a bit wider than the cab roof.

On a very similar note, the camper i want (escapade alpine) to get has a 2 burner stove but no sink. What could i do for a DIY sink and water system? Does this already exist?

Basically you need a water tank, a pump, a faucet, some kind of basin, and something to collect the water going down the drain.
There are lots of options out there. There are expensive options even, and some DIY stuff. Google "camping sink" or "overlanding sink"..... I think it will give you some good ideas.

I’m pretty sure we’ve seen the rld canopy... there are pictures of it and commentary already. The primary talking point is the price...

Someone started a thread about how the tonneau for the Canyon/Colorado is a perfect fit for the Gladiator. The shell/cap for my Canyon was $3700 so the pricing for the RLD is comparable.
