Removed the soft top today using the thumb screws. 10 min job at most. Very easy to do!

I tried these....not worth it at all

It takes WAY longer to unscrew these by hand than it does to use a screw gun on the factory bolts and throw it in the console or under a seat after.
30seconds from folded back to stored in the bed..

The bolts don't have to be that tight either so even a cheap $20 screw gun from harbor freight with do it

Worked well for me. Glad I did it.

I don't regret going with the soft top option but I REALLY hate the fact the top lays on the back when opened.

The top is actually very light and only held on by four bolts.

So, I purchased a set of Quick Release Thumbscrews for a hardtop (6 in a package)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5O6JC0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Then I used them for the top (4). - You are still going to want 6 because you are going to want to double up on the washers for the front bolts.

It now takes about 3-4 min to be totally topless.

Here are the photos...

This is AWESOME. Still working as expected and holding up? Any chance you can show a pic of how much bed space this takes up when it's off? Really thinking of getting soft top after 3 years of hard top but hate the man bun 😂

I have never tried to throw it in the bed...I just leave in the garage. Next time I will give it a shot.

Thanks! I'd like to find a solution to easy on/off if rain pops up. This may do it!

Like you I generally avoid thumb screws and just keep a driver under the back seat with my torx bits. But I love this idea. Can you safely put this in the truck bed (with a cover)? Thinking great to have it off but if weather takes a turn you can put it on in no time

Could someone tell me the length of the factory bots? I purchased a soft top and the 4 bolts for the top and 6 for the back are missing.
