@WanderingJ I could not detect any vibrations.
Mirror stayed in perfect position.
Good to hear. I just towed my first 24ft TT and used some temp clamp on mirrors today and though good, I feel I'm going to deform my mirrors. This looks like how our mirrors should come if we get a tow package

I like the K source mirrors. I was thinking of modifying some Silverado towing mirror heads to the Gladiator base until i was at the dealership and holy crap they are HUGE! The mirror is as large as my head.

i have Gladiator and 18’ TT, 8’ wide. The strap on mirrors help when you get them set up right, but they are very annoying to install and to keep tightening them. I also have a backup camera. Someone please design a new mirror like the F150 that is tellescopic. At this point I’m willing to pay!! I’m not ready to put a door strap on either.

I have the straps from Thorne Engineering and the JK trailer mirrors I got on Amazon. I have zero issues with the straps. Easy to put on, and they stay as tight as I make them when I put them on.

I ended up getting the K-Source mirrors after trying clip-ons. I felt like I was going to damage the mirror housing with the clamps but those K-source ones, man these should have been a factory option. Im not sure I'll remove them. Mine were tight. Not sure how hard it would be to remove though obviously they are designed to be removable. The clips on mine didnt have much flex in them but maybe i need a warm sunny day. Did some tight muddy trails this past weekend and they were fine.

I have finally found a good option for tow mirrors for the Gladiator. I tow a 29 foot Jayco travel trailer and these mirrors are great. They extend up to 21 inches from the window. They are easy to install and are very stable with only a slight vibration at high speeds. I got them on Amazon . The part number is CIPA 11650 Door Mount Towing Mirror , Black

After having multiple brands of the clamp on style mirrors fall off while going down the road, I am in the market for mirrors yet again. How have these held up for you? Any paint scratch issues? Loosening issues on long all day drives?

the clamp on ones are fine until they arent, and you have to bend the plastic mirror to get them tight enough. Doesn’t help that I need them wide enough to see around a 8ft wide travel trailer.

So far, (<knocks on wood>) I haven't had any issues using the JK/JL mirrors I bought on Amazon and the Thorne Engineering adaptors that hold them in place with NO vibration.

Thanks. I have a 8 ft wide travel trailer. How far out do they sit?

Mine's 7.5 foot wide and I can see down the sides. Another three inches either side shouldn't be too difficult. Plus, I just bought these, Extended View Mirrors on Amazon for my towing mirrors...put them on my regular mirrors and they really help. So, we'll see how they do on my towing mirrors. I'll know in a couple of weeks when I go away with my trailer.

@Dion , @bailer & @Moab

So Saturday the 6th I ordered the K-Source mirrors. $65.99 with coupon, $14.99 shipping and $5.67 tax total $86.65. They were delivered three days later on Tuesday. That was fast!

It took longer to open the box than to snap them on! Now I fumbled with at first and instead of setting the top first I tried hooking the bottom lip first and it snaped right in and secured well. Man, that's alot of mirror.

I'm going camping Thursday and them out.

I’ve had mine on since I tried them out.
Quite handy when not even towing. Helps
me keep an eye on nut jobs passing when they shouldn’t be, like when stuck in traffic and NO where to go . So they run up the shoulder😒 Hope they work out for you. Enjoy the camping expedition!

I also have the K-Source mirrors and love them. Just finished a trip up north with the camper behind me (nuCamp T@B 400, about as wide as the Jeep including the fenders,) and could see people coming up behind me easily.

They stay put, they don't vibrate so you get a clear view, they even held on through a little bit of mild off-roading.

I've still got a set of the sort that stay on with rubber straps around the mirror, I figure to use those for "spur of the moment" camper moves.

I just placed my order @ Jegs for the K-Source 179-80750. Seems to be the best fit and stock looking.
Towed the Trail Manor 2720 and even though it's small it's wider than the Gladiator and it was no fun not being able to see. It's grounded until I get the mirrors.

Thanks to seeing this topic I ordered mine the end of July. I too had to to tow something before they came, I can agree with the above post, hard to see and even when not towing huge blind spot. After getting them and the super easy install no more blind spot, I don't even take them off, I really wish the JT's came with a mirror set up like this from the factory. I'm going to order a second set for my half doors (23 JT, w/dual door group) less chance of snapping the tabs

I had K-source mirrors on my Suburbans and Tahoes , they snap on solid, but taking them on and off is tough and I did break tabs on both sides but only one and they still worked, if you leave them on no issue , but with driving in the woods of Pa. they are not an all the time option…..Jack
