Gee, I simply had the TPMS sensors installed and put the wheels/tires on. There's no setup to it.

Normally that is the case with all my other vehicles. But for some reason it’s not working now

Anyone resolve this? I pulled my 35s off my JL that had the sensors and the JT isn’t reading it.

When I got around to ordering TPMS sensors I found out that 2021 gladiators have 2 different sensors.

Gladiators built on or before June 5, 2021 require TPMS sensor part # 68510382AA

Gladiator built after June 5, 2021 require TPMS sensor part # 68339096AB

Thank you! Not sure what I have but sounds like I need new sensors.

And the reason for the sensor part number change is?
Anyone?

I don't know why. Maybe a change in supplier?

I was told by multiple Mopar supply stores that part numbers AB and AA are NOT interchangeable.

What's wild is that Rock Auto lists a third (684023071AA) part number that doesn't match either of these, and they show it "to 5/2021" with no exact date in May that the switch happened.

This kind of has me over a barrel because mine was built 5/27/2021 and I need a set of sensors.

I might have the days off by a couple days. I just searched on Mopar's online store and this is what it says.

For part # 68339096AB, "After 6/7/21" LINK

For part # 68510382AA, "Up to 6/7/21" LINK

I'd trust Mopar's site over Rock Auto.

EDIT: when I search the Rock Auto part # 684023071AA on Mopar's site, it doesn't come up with anything...

So I went ahead and ordered a set of the Schrader 29093 (matching the Mopar part # I listed above) because I'm thinking they should work for JL/JT built before that 6-7-21 deadline and they are $60 less for a set.

Probably the other part numbers listed above are Mopar numbers because they don't use Schrader as the OE supplier anymore. I'm just guessing.

In any case, I've had great success with all the sets of TPMS sensors I've bought from Rock Auto before on these JL/JT models so hopefully these will still work. I'll know soon!

Search Google or Bing or any other for " 684023071AA" and the result is no results. I've had some issues with RA in the past..........

I actually did that before placing my order and it very quickly came up as a 2020 Wrangler listing. Actuality found some 3rd party vendors who list that part number for the sensors on all 2020 and 2021 up until the June cut off.

So why did Google and Bing give you results but come up empty for me?

Part of the global chip shortage. Allowed them to eliminate a separate tire pressure module and integrate the TPMS into the Radio Frequency Hub Module (RFHM).

I went through this last weekend when I picked my new 2021 Willys JT that replaces my 2020 Rubicon JT. When transfering over my mods from my 2020 to the 2021, had to also swap out the TPMS sensors between the two to get my tires and wheels ported over.

Old and new sensors or not compatible or even programmable to work either way of the June 2021 cut in of the new "Continental" TPMS system. There is also no available stock yet from the dealers for these new sensors for awhile nor has the aftermarket caught up yet.

FWIW, they also went to a new PCM design due to the chip shortage. Newer ones will have the connectors on the top of the PCM instead on the side like the old design.

Good day all,

I picked up so rubicon take offs today, they still have the TPMS sensors installed. On start up I got readings from the sensors. After about 15 minutes of driving I got the “service tire pressure sensor”message and all four give me dashes as a reading.

I looked through the forums but couldn’t find this issue. Anybody got a quick fix or do I need to get it looked at?

Exact same issue here. I've taken it to two service centers and neither can correct it. THat's after taking it to a Jeep dealer. Hope you find a fix!
