Do you have some wrenches? Just pop the frame side end off, loosen the jam nut, rotate the end a few times, tighten the jam nut and reinstall. This is a super easy install. If the hole doesn’t line up use a ratchet strap to pull the axle a little. If you are not mechanically inclined at all, post in your local section or find another Jeep guy with more mechanical experience in your neighborhood and get some help. This can be resolved in about 10 min in the right driveway.
I just looked and you show from PA. I am happy to fix this for you if you are anywhere near West Chester, PA.

Good on you, Paul! I would do the same if he was in Atlanta.

If this works out, please post pictures of the results.

Im in south central Pennsylvania. Like 2 minutes from Maryland. I'd do it myself but can't because of health problems. I'll find a place.

I agree with Factoid, your shop phoned it in. The track bar is fine it just needs adjusted and it is going to be a tedious process, as it will need to be disconnected for each adjustment. The sector shaft brace is a great piece of kit. It works extremely well, but it is not a slap it on and go. The whole point is it fits right to keep the box and steering tight, you have to follow the process to get it installed. My guess is they did not have the socket they needed to get the steering arm off. It is a big one that require 3/4" ratchets, not many mechanics boxes go that big unless they work on heavy duty stuff all the time
They don't work on trucks or even older cars if they can't go that large. The axle nuts on my car take a damn heavy set to get to 250 ft/pounds of torque.

Nothing wrong with that track bar. I bought and installed the same one. I'll grab a pic for you where mine is at. I think I got it within 1/8th on either side. I didn't need some monstrosity of a track bar so the Rancho fit my needs but it was substantially heavier than stock.

Too bad you aren't close to me - I've got all the tools needed. Pull my JT out, put yours on the nice concrete and it would take minutes to adjust that correctly.

I have seen guys try to put axle nuts back on with some crazy tools, unfortunately.

I went to a diesel shop. They adjusted my track bar and its perfect now. $50. The other guys charged me $225. Should have asked for my money back.

That's reasonable considering what hourly rates are these days.

Yeah, $50 isn’t bad to walk on and have someone correct someone else’s bad work. Should have made the first shop fix it.

Damn, these trucks sure are beautiful on the bottom-side. Works of art.
I don't see a lot of art in them. Pretty much just old school suspension bits with modern manufacturing techniques.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. I wouldn’t let that other shop work on my toaster. However, I would take the $50 bill to them and ask them to refund that portion of their charge.

You still need 30 minutes work on that sector brace.

Yea lol. I should have gone to the 2nd place to begin with. It was only 20 minutes away. They said they install lift kits all the time and if I need any accessories in the future they'll do it. First lifted Gladiator they'd seen. Said it changed their minds on Gladiators looking goofy. I'm going to the dealer on Monday about my steering so I'm waiting on installing the brace in case they give me crap.
