My wet bath has a shower curtain that shield the toilet and storage area as well as the door during a shower. As the OP mentioned, if outside facilities are available we use those. We have never had a mildew or mold issue in our wet bath, it is 100% gelcoated fiberglass. We hang towels in the bath and those dry overnight, could be our regular use of the air conditioner keeps humidity low. After 21 years of use, I have no structural or quality problems which would seem to be unusual in the rv industry.

We got a Sunset Park 16BH. Only 16' we could find with a dry bath and full size fridge. And the dry weight is only #2480 with a #210 hitch weight. We are only inside it to sleep and sometimes cook, cooking is usually done on the Blackstone outside. We've been very happy with the quality of it

I’ve been through a few trailers with Jeeps. If you want space I recommended going as large as you safely can. I’ve had teardrops, a Winnebago hike 170s, now a larger double axle.

I feel like if we went with the aliner from the start we would have kept it longer. Our first trailer was an off-road type intech Luna Rover. Pulled it behind a wrangler about 2300lbs. We loved it but it lacked an indoor area we could stand. No shower or bathroom. We wanted something bigger.

we got a Winnebago hike 170s and it was wonderful for three years. Pain points were the shower was incredibly small and not much room to move about in the galley type area. But it was good as it had the dinnette and a nice indoor kitchen. Weighted about 3300lbs dry, likely close to 4000 loaded. Towed this behind gladiator and it towed well. We took it to Oregon coast, Moab, all over the place. We knew we wanted one to go on longer trips.

Our current trailer is a Rockwood Mini Lite which is perfect in size and storage. Bigger shower. More storage. And TONS of inside space. I had three or four of my guy friends in it and we had more than enough space. It’s heavier at 4900lbs dry.
I learned early “off-road” trailers aren’t really meant to be off-road. Sure, dirt roads and gravel roads, but anything extreme it’s not going to happen without damaging things. So, I have tent for those kinds of trips.

I recommend going larger. Maybe a Winnebago micro mini 2108, hike, or even the one we have the mini lite 2205S. Just he sure to stay within your GVWR and get a WDH.

I pull a 174bh with my diesel sport s. I've pulled the same trailer with a gas overland also. With the diesel I have zero issues and to be honest the gasser did fine too, just high rpm. One thing I did to make my life easier was adding cameras to the trailer and a monitor to the jeep.

I have 2 kids and the bunkhouse configuration is perfect. This is a no slide trailer so it's kind of tight at the dinette but I plan to get a Blackstone to move cooking outside.

I might be looking at getting a small camper for the wife and I. We don’t anticipate anything over a week at a time, and normally will be at a campground with facilities- think national parks.

ive been looking at A frames and smaller fiberglass trailers & am wondering what others here have and are towed by their gladiator.

I have a 21 Sport S w/ max tow. Not new to campers, have owned pop up, 24’ travel trailer and a small class c in the past.

Looking forward to reading & seeing what this community has
I pull the Winnebago HIKE 100. It's perfect for towing behind my JT Diesel.

I have a Vantage Sonic SN220VRB. Mine is 27' long 5,100 lbs with all we want or need and a stated 420 LB tongue weight but mine is closer to 520 lbs with all the stuff in the front pass through.

You have a MaxTow so it'd easily handle it. I tow mine with an Overland.

Lotsa room inside. Feels bigger than it is. The bath has an enclosed shower so all stays dry. It' also has an outdoor kitchen so cooking outside is easy. LOVE mine.

Talking trailers is almost as bad as politics.

I Started with an Intech Pursue.
Great quality but became too small, basically a hard sided tent.

Next was an Aliner Titanium 12.
Was great for towing but became concerned about the support for the sides when down and all of the wood in the construction. Had a few water issues and wife wanted a full bath.

Now with a Livin-Lite Camplite 16DBS bought used. (They were shut down after being bought out by Thor).
If you are comfortable with buying used, I recommend you take a look. They are all alum, basically rot proof. About 19', 3000lbs dry, tandem axle, almost 2000lbs payload.
Alum frames caused some problems in the 21' units when they made a design change.

We have an Aliner Expedition and love it. Its the biggest of the Aliners and has decent storage inside, kitchen, sink, and cassette toilet. We sleep 2 adults and an 8 and 6 year old comfortably. As was mentioned the grey water is a bucket outside, but it has a fridge with freezer a dinnette that converts in to a bed as well as a couch area that also converts. Its not huge by any stretch but its more than enough space for us and is quick to setup and pack down. Betwen the wife and I we can set up in about 15 minutes from the time I pull in including popping it up, hooking up electricity and water, and taking out the nesso, gazelle, and outdoor rug we use.

For towing its 3500 pounds max and the low profile means it doesnt swing the gladiator around too much in the wind and also achieves fairly ok MPG.

We were in the market last year and went with an R-Pod 180. Weighs 2900 dry and 3500 loaded. Tows great. If you’re planning on towing in the mountains, I really would t go much bigger. The R-Pod is a lightweight design, narrower than most with a slide out. We chose the 180 plan as it’s perfect for two people, has a large bathroom, and the entire camper can be utilized with the slide out still in. Take a look at these. We looked at teardrops, A-Liners etc., and for us this was the best solution. It’s nice having everything you need. The others were lacking something. We bought used and saved thousands over new. Did some maintenace and upgrades and still thousands ahead of the game. Plus, I now know a ton about it. I’m lifted on 37’s re-geared to 5:13 and get 10-12 mpg.

We have a Wolfpup 14CCBL and tow with our 23 Mojave. We are around 4k lbs and it goes nicely. We have the ability to cook inside. Space is limited but it is fun for two people. We have a great view when eating at the table and the a/c works in 100 plus degrees heat just fine as it freezes us out! We plan on upgrading our Jeep with the brake controller. We use the Bluetooth Curt Echo and it works fine. We also have a back up camera that I use to see in back while driving and the mirrors with this length work just fine. I will say if you get a longer trailer get the extension mirrors for the Jeep. We tow at 60 mph and while the Jeep can do more we choose to just enjoy the ride. MPGs vary on wind, hills, etc…. We average 12 this trip but have seen 16. Really depends on the winds in South Texas.
