We have always called the Wrangler "The Jeep" which makes it confusing to refer to the Gladiator as a Jeep. It is just "The Gladiator". It is more than just a Truck.

I used to post on DTR. Not in a while though. Been thinking of letting her go. We are empty nesters with 4 cars and I have 3 motorcycles. gotta start emptying the garage too.

Growing up on a farm, a "truck" was something that we loaded 20,000 lbs of wheat or barley into, usually with at least one set of dually axles (think F-650). Then you stepped up to the "semi" to go to the grain elevator to load onto barges for the trip to Portland. The F150 was the "pick-up". So long story short, this is my Jeep.

All of the above, lol. Probably called the Jeep the most. Followed by gladiator (my 8 year old son calls it that the most). Followed by truck by me when I am referring to it doing truck things.

'Jeep' would never work at my place. It tends to get called 'The Gladiator', then we have "The Blue JK", "The Renny", "The Rubi"(2006 TJ), "The TJ(1999 TJ)" and the "The Chevy"(2002 Silverado). Jeep and Truck just have way to many possibilities...

Jeep Truck, that's what I call it. Best of both worlds, can go where I want and haul some stuff in the bed. I remember trying to squeeze a 82" Samsung TV into my JKU, that was interesting. Seats almost all the way forward, and body shoved against the steering wheel. Only good thing I only had to drive 4 miles from Sam's club to the house

Around here the CJ is the ‘Jeep‘, the JT is the ‘Truck’...
And I got it because, and use it as a Truck......

My 3yr old loves jeeps... he point out every one he sees when we drive around... all proud i asked him if he likes our jeep and he informed me we dont have a jeep we have a truck, (talk about shooting a guys horse) because jeeps have the tire on the back... he has since compromised and calls it the jeep truck and thats stuck
