Trying to remove cab rear view mirror

I have a bed cap and the mirror is no longer usefula nd I wold like the better vision out the front by removing it. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?

Follow a gravel truck too close, get massive chip/crack, tell them to not glue it back on when they replace the windshield....

It will pop off the ball on the end of the stem quite easily. Try spinning the mirror and when it's vertical give it a little tug.

Can't answer that, mine doesn't have auto dim.

But, I believe so as that is where some people are tapping for power for radar detectors.
