Anyone know how to get rid of the onscreen menu bar that appeared since the update?

right below where the cover art is, that menu bar is now bothering me.... not one for change lol
I didn't notice a change. Do you have a pic?

Just did the uconnect update that was sent to my 8.4” today. Update was successful but now my backup camera icons are overlapped and I can’t take phone calls while my phone is plugged in and connected to car play. Regular Bluetooth phone calls are fine, but when plugged in it forces call audio to my phone and not the truck speakers. Anyone else having this issue? Never had phone issues like before the update. Even used it today a few times before the update.
I'm having the exact same issue. No problem before the OTA 8.4 screen software update.

Any pointer to what changed as part of the update that was pushed out over the air? Release notes, etc.

I had an option to delay the install yesterday for 4 hours, so I did and it updated last night. I subsequently forgot about it. This morning I got into the Jeep, put it into reverse and no camera. Odd. I turned the car off, got out, locked the door, waited a few minutes and got back in. No change.
I needed to go to work, so I figured I would look at the issue later. On the way, I tried adaptive cruise control. No joy (though standard cruise does work). 2 issues so far, what else is hiding under the covers? I started to notice I was getting warm. The only buttons that do anything are climate on or off, I cannot choose any temps, heat or AC. The temp slider will move from Hi to Lo, but it's always hot. Nice. I rolled down the windows.
When I parked, at least the proximity sensors worked.
I tried to download the new firmware from the Mopar site to re-flash later myself. This won't work as it thinks I have the newest version (which I sort of do). So, I called the nice folks at UConnect and they confirmed this is by design and that I must go see a service technician to re-flash it for me. My appointment for tomorrow. I hope it's not a long drawn out deal as some have experienced. Fingers crossed.

Same CarPlay issue for me. I can’t use the in car sound with a phone call when hooked up to CarPlay. Bluetooth works fine but CarPlay not so much. Also I done get audio announcements with CarPlay navigation. I took it to the dealer yesterday and got a reflash but issue still remains.

Check your CarPlay volume. Same thing happened to me after the flash, it reset the volume for both to zero. I had to start navigation and while it was giving directions turn up the volume on the radio. Same with phone calls, I made a call and turned the volume up to a useable level.

I left work yesterday and it appears that my system was re-flashed OTA again. It looks like it did before this all started, but I can't tell if it's "new". The software version on my head unit is 20.06.13. I got that by holding down the left temp up and down and defroster for 5-10 seconds. Then I was in dealer mode to check the version numbers. ( I wish i had checked the version number when the system was all sideways)

I opted not to go to the dealer and see what happens next.

Curious what versions others are running?

My issue seems to be a little different. I don't even have the option to place or answer a call on the carplay or uconnect system when I am plugged into USB for Carplay. The phone speaker or headset is the only option for a call. Seems like somehow the carplay integration with the update is broken for the phone app. Hopefully they will send an updated over the air update as I really don't want to have to go back to the dealer again.

Add mine to the list. After the download of the software update on the radio, I no longer have phone calls (send or receive) come through the vehicle speakers. Everything was fine before. I am reluctant to take it to the dealer. I am assuming that the FCA engineers are working on a fix as this mess up is not exactly an inside secret. The software team in charge of the update should have their pay docked or something. This is just stupid.

Does anyone know the Serial number of the update? If possible post a photo of the system information page, thanks.

As mentioned before- check the volume on the uconnect before going to the dealership. I couldn't hear calls, text or nav directions after the update UNTIL I discovered it was just the volume reset to zero. Turn the volume up during texts and calls and when your nav is directing you. This fixed my issues.
