I just got a Sport S Gladiator and it did not come with the premium sound system. I have been researching my options for adding an aftermarket subwoofer, and it appears I could get a box for under the rear seats but I would prefer to not lose that storage space. I also saw that there were aftermarket subwoofers made for the Wrangler and I would like to know if anyone has any experience getting it to work in a Gladiator. Any other alternatives that I may not be considering?

I added an "underseat" unit but I mounted it vertically behind the rear seat.
It's a 10inch 200w RMS unit

Its better than nothing but. I can't say I'd recommend one ... Not really a ton of output. I had to set my 6.5s in the sound bar a bit lower than I wanted to carry more mid base ...

Over all it sounds decent but I'll be building a custom box this spring to house a pair of shallow mount subs

I just bought the HS10 from. kicker. I plan on upgrading everything to 6.5's come summer. I will probably put the sub under the drivers seat or in the stock location, haven't decided yet.

Added this kicker 8” with my trusty alpine amp. Amazed by the bass it puts out, and adds in exactly what the alpine premium system was missing.

I built the cubby piece with mdf board I bought when I was entertaining the idea of building my own box. I didn’t really want to cut up the plastic piece

Whats the width of the unseat rear storage, from the front plastic back, I'm considering putting my sub under the rear seat.

I have a thread elsewhere on my install. I used the passive 6" JL. And the kicker mono sub amp. I am very happy with the performance and as you can see did not have to jack up my storage tray. I did install clip nuts to the storage tray so everything could be mounted with 7mm body screws. While not completely factory looking it has been very reliable and I retained some storage.

Thats actually perfect. The Kicker unit I grabbed will fit in the same location. Now I just have to decide if I want it there or under one of the front seats

I am curious if you removed your jack, scooted the sub as far over to the driver's side as you can without hitting the center back seat mount and spun the sub 180 if it would fit. I imagine that is a killer sounding sub. I am a big fan of those drivers.

it might fit that way, but I’m ok with it sticking out a tiny bit. Rarely have passengers and I’d rather not relocate the jack. I am thoroughly impressed with the sub, it sounds great and I’m used to having a 12”

I got the sound ordnance 8" under the drivers seat. Its Crutchfield's brand, was able to get it for around 100.00 and more bass than I could need.

Just put in one of last years Black Friday purchases. The Foxbox speaker box and new sub. The box is awesome and and the subwoofer absolutely pounds. No one believes it's a single 10" sub outputting that much bass.

The subwoofer is a Sundown Audio E-10 V.3 dual 2 ohm. It's running at 1 ohm and is temporarily powered by a Sundown Audio SAE 1000D amp (rather large amp so swapping with a Rockford Fosgate Power 750).

P.S. Ignore the speaker wire, it will be properly hidden when the new amp arrives.
