Glad to see they had good taste and sprung for the body color hardtop and fender flares! At least on some of them... Usually we’re fans of uniformity for Government purchases.
a Ruby, an Overland, and a Sport..... you're right - not very uniform for Gov purchase. It was just time to spray white, regular production. That is all.

Hmm can't remember but someone I think on this thread was saying the remember seeing these pictures and later on that day I was scrolling posts and saw these so it had to be a thread probably made around the time I posted them

It was mentioned that the Gladiators seen moving about are not all the same so there is no way that they can be any sort of government order or “National Contract” that the union communication called it. In a past life I was a recruiter for the Army and we had a motor pool of sorts that had cars from multiple manufacturers with very different option configurations within a particular model. When I was contracting with the Forest Service almost everyone had something different. So uniformity is not a requirement for government orders.

No, but government procurement processes were, and that could not have yet happened when this rumor thread was started...
