I am off this week and would like to get this dashcam installed but ordered the wrong cable. So my options are likely no idea when I can install it since I need the full garage, or find some place local that will carry one. I searched Napa, Advanced Auto, Home Depot, Target, Walmart, Harbor Freight and even a local car audio place. Nothing is coming up. Any suggestions, or do I just Amazon it and get it when I get it?

I already have the cig lighter adapter from Quadratec so will be wiring off of that.

i use these ODBII adapters to power my dashcams. You can flip the switch to “O” to have it turn off 5 minutes after you shut the engine off.

Looking if there is any brick and mortar locations that might have a 12-24v to USB C cable in stock. I am in the Seattle area, I am also not holding my breath just thought I could throw a hail mary and get lucky. Worst case I Amazon it and pray for the time when I am back on the clock to install it.

That OBD one won't help, I already have the Quadratec adapter so no need to take up my OBD port for power.

To make sure I understand what you're looking for, you want a USB C by bare wires to wire in your dash cam?

If so, go to Office Depot (or any other office supply store) buy the cheapest USB cord with a C end, cut off the other end and wire it up.

Well it needs the built in BUC converter to take 12v to 5v though.

I use the media USB port. Gives my Garmin enough juice to keep the Parking Guard feature on whenever I turn off the car without actually keeping the camera fully powered.

Going for a clean no wires hanging around install so not a real option.

How about just grabbing the USB cable you need (presume C) and a cheap 12V USB adapter from the corner store. Crack that thing open and you have everything right there. Hardwire it in to the 12V behind the dash (factory cig socket) and route your cable up through the dash.
