So I just got JScan to fix my lighting issues and I figured since I have 35s on it, I'd change the tire size to get the speedo more accurate. I checked out a couple videos just to be sure I was doing it right and found one where one guy not only changed the tire size but he went as far as doing the initialize EGS function and also did a reset of learned adaptives on the TCM. Claimed it made the transmission shift better with the larger tires. Is this step necessary and/or recommended or does just changing the tire size basically do all that already?

When I adjusted for my tire sizes, 35s and then 37s, I simply adjusted for tire size. I measured my actual tire diameter, since most if not all, tires are not true to the advertised size, and set my tire size to that. My speedo seems to be nearly dead on.

I believe the trans adjusts to the new settings on it's own. Others that know can chime in here.

I don't know about the Jscan but I adjust with a flashcal + and it seems to have adjusted the rest on its own.
