Your mission, should you decide to accept it............The smoke on my screen has cleared. I can clearly see what you posted here! Many thanks!
You can buy it as a crate engine..............The V8 I can pass on. I’d love it if they dropped a Gladiator with an R2.8 though. I’d drool on that in a heartbeat.
Yep. I could buy it. But because I’m in Cali I can’t do anything with it.You can buy it as a crate engine..............

DITTO!! That 4.0 was a beast of an engine. Not the fastest. Probably not the strongest. But if you told it to run it’d run.I'd rather have the straight 6. Nothing to do with gender lol.
Truth.DITTO!! That 4.0 was a beast of an engine. Not the fastest. Probably not the strongest. But if you told it to run it’d run.
Interesting as I've never had a 4.0 that had oil leaks.Truth.

I concur. Never had any oil leaks in mine either. TCM issues yes but no oil leaks. And I was NOT kind to that engine. Young dumb and there were LOtS of rocks in AZ.Interesting as I've never had a 4.0 that had oil leaks
Bingo. When I was a teen seemed like every XJ I looked at buying locally had a rear main seal leak. Outside of that they're bulletproof reliable. Brother in law's XJ had it twice IIRC.The 4.0 oil leak thing comes from the rear main. I had it once.
