The V8 I can pass on. I’d love it if they dropped a Gladiator with an R2.8 though. I’d drool on that in a heartbeat.

I'd rather have the straight 6. Nothing to do with gender lol.

DITTO!! That 4.0 was a beast of an engine. Not the fastest. Probably not the strongest. But if you told it to run it’d run.
Truth.

Interesting as I've never had a 4.0 that had oil leaks.
After Dad was killed in an accident, I bought the Special Edition WJ he had - it was about 113,000 miles and he had just had the pan gasket replaced so it must have had a leak, but I never saw any other signs of any leaks while I owned it or the other ZJs and WJs I've had, as well as the 4.0 in my SX4.
So I guess after decades with many 4.0s, I'm not sure where the oil leak thing comes from. Mine never leaked oil.
The 94 ZJ engine in my SX4 is torquey as heck, I can climb a pretty good incline at 30 mph running about 1500 RPM and ACCELERATE up the hill, no need to downshift further.
They sure aren't high RPM engines, though.

The 4.0 oil leak thing comes from the rear main. I had it once.
Bingo. When I was a teen seemed like every XJ I looked at buying locally had a rear main seal leak. Outside of that they're bulletproof reliable. Brother in law's XJ had it twice IIRC.
