Warranty or not?

Keep getting spam every couple of weeks from moparservicecontract.com, chrysler-factory-warranty.com, and Jeepfactorywarranty.com for extended coverage on my Rubicon.

On the fence with getting this. I do plan on keeping the truck for a while... and will likely do more to it down the road (currently teraflex 1.5 / 3/4 lift and 35s on 17x9).

I don't mind getting dirty and can do some of the stuff myself (like installing the lift which I did).

Boils down to whether these warranties would cover major stuff like tranny, engine, axles... With some of the mods I have (possibly while wheeling) w/o having to fight for coverage.

It's one thing spending $2g on warranty but if I have to spend another 3 months fighting for coverage that may not be worth for a $2g part that needs to be replaced.

i know jeeps aren't the most reliable but also not the most costly to fix so trying to gauge that.

I’ll tell you this: I had an SRT8 and didn’t get it. Then the lifter locked and chewed my cam and I had to rebuild the top end. I wish I had gotten the unlimited mileage. I’m looking into getting it for the gladiator as we speak.

I don’t have a gladiator, yet, but I have a 2015 jku with 89,600 miles. So far my lifetime max care warranty paid for a cylinder head, all 24 lifters and tappets, oil cooler housing seal, rear main seal, front differential seal. I will never sell my JKU, but I will never buy another Jeep without an extended mopar warranty.

You should be able to purchase the extended coverage at a later date. Drive the Gladiator for a year or 18 months, then decide if you want to extend it.

I am not sure about moparservicecontract.com being scammy, they also run the moparsalesdirect.com and I think a bunch order parts on here from them.
I am starting to look also, usually avoid these but I want to keep the gladiator for 8-10 years I hope.

I see the second one is a site sponser but found a dealer mentioned in another post that sells at disount no codes needed. Think I will see what my dealer offers once the jeep comes in.

Here’s your point of contact, I’ve used him on 4 Jeeps, including my JT. I first started doing business with him from the JK website. He sells Mopar warranties and works at a dealership. Just email him directly for a quote or call. He’ll sell any combination of years and coverages based on the year/mileage on your Jeep.
Tom is the man, straight shooter, professional, and responsive. I’ve cancelled Mopar warranties after selling the vehicle through him and received the refund in 2 weeks. He has a great reputation in the community. I live in Florida, have never met him face to face. Just tell him you heard about him on the forum and need a quote for coverages.

so reached out to Tom, seems like it does make sense and appears to be the best deal I could find...

now just need to figure out whether to get the max care or added care plus... Not sure the max care is worth the extra, ya it covers everything but I'm honestly more getting it as a major disaster coverage rather than "you need a new air filter" kinda warranty.
