Bingo max 30 inches ? Correct ? I seem to recall 30" ... but that is at a crawl "fording" is slow.Dude, just a tip, that profile picture isn't making your case any better. Jeep cares see that and the NOPE stamp comes out.
How? I pay $462.99 every six months for above standard coverages and un/under insured motorists, a reasonable deductible and a +20% replacement value supplement.Insurance on my Daughter's Kia 3000 every 6months. My Gladiator 1972.00 every 6months ?.
I dont like insurance companies either it is like Doctors and Hospitals a money Racket .
It's called the royal rip off . In WV we are forced to pay for underinsured motorist and insurance companies have long penalized us for having Deer in our state. Everything a person does goes against you. I was parked in a hotel room in WV and a bad hail storm hit. Done 1760.00 dollars worth of damge to a truck I had . And guess what it was held against Me. They said you turned it in so it goes against your insurance showing a payout claim. Every time we turn around they are raising and raising and raising it.How? I pay $462.99 every six months for above standard coverages and un/under insured motorists, a reasonable deductible and a +20% replacement value supplement.
Yep spark plug wire for sure ..hmm weirdTo begin with...I am not trying to worm my way out of a 4wding event that has damaged the transmission. Mechanics are not so stupid they cannot see from underneath whilst a car is on the hoist whether or not it has been in deep muddy water. I purchased this car for work and to do some medium to hard 4wding (we all know that due to long wheel base on Gladiators, extreme 4wding is beyond its capability without 37" tyres and a 4" lift).
The engine pinging noise has nothing to do with water...the engine has never had water in it even before the snorkel was installed. The engine works to try to resolve pinging clearly showed excessive carbon build up on the cylinder heads...Jeep believe it was the PCV valve that failed causing this problem.
Clearly a few things need clarifying here...
1. this is video of the exact mud hole i went into prior to the transmission error code appearing 30 mins later when we were driving home after winching out.
2. This jeep has 33" tyres and a 2" lift (so its 3 inches higher than standard.
I am not arguing 31.5 fiording statement by jeep...that is with a standard car. The 33's and 2" lift were done by dealership prior to my purchasing the car...it was already done and on the showroom floor as is. All i did was put on snorkel.
3. The car has a snorkel
4. The profile picture mudhole was taken before the transmission was replaced under warranty 4 months ago
5. The importance of the google review is that is shows engine oil leak and driveshaft leaks just after this transmission was replaced! It is very clear that an engine sump plug should not be leaking oil immediately after coming out of a Jeep workshop where they pulled the top end of the engine!
6. The pinging noise in the engine started immediately after the first 12000km service (it was the next morning). It took Jeep 8 months to decide to fix it...in the meantime i drove 28,000kms in that time because this vehicle is used for work and i do a lot of miles/km
7. The pinging noise has since started again
8. Immediately after this transmission was installed (on my way home from dealership), i noticed a whining noise coming from underneath where driver sits. I rang the dealership and complained about it. Ive had two dealerships look at the car but they both claim they cant hear any noise (but the whine is only audible at about 90km/hr and neither of the dealerships have driven it at that speed to check...only in 60km/hr speed limit areas around their dealerships. )
9. And this is the most important...can anyone explain how a breather hose which has a one way valve and is located up on top of the engine comes off the top of a transmission in the first place given its a new transmission?
Also, have any of the naysayers actually seen how this breather hose is connected to the transmission? Its a push on plug (like a small spark plug connector). You can pull it off with two fingers whilst under the car.
Im going to argue that the breather hose is not adquitely connected to the transmission...it should have a hose clamp not a push on cap!
At the end of this post is a picture of what the transmission breather connector cap looks like. Some of you will argue thats a spark plug cap...google jeep transmission breather connector and you will eventually find this image...its exactly what the cap on my jeep transmission looks like.
Ive watched a few videos on preparing jeeps for deep water, ive not yet seen one that says anything about changing the transmission breather hose (because the top of it is already up in the engine bay on above the engine)...so i wasnt expecting this to be an issue.

I have no clue why you are stuck on this and any data provided to the contrary is dismissed by you?I want to see one of the bullies on here change their ZF fluid to the proper level without using a scan tool..LOL! You can use the display I understand but its not the correct or precise way.
2" lift gets you 2" over standard water depth, but 33" tires won't be 33" and - well, for example, if you had 32" tires and they were exactly 32" and you put on 33" tires that were exactly 33", you gain 1/2" of height.2. This jeep has 33" tyres and a 2" lift (so its 3 inches higher than standard.
Uh, quite a few do it - even Jeep says it's ok.I want to see one of the bullies on here change their ZF fluid to the proper level without using a scan tool..LOL! You can use the display I understand but its not the correct or precise way.
I dont know why I get so much push back on this forum when I try and state the truth or actual facts. Its the same 5 guys that bully people and like each others posts constantly.
Engine oil leak has nothing to do with transmission replacement. Totally not connected.5. The importance of the google review is that is shows engine oil leak and driveshaft leaks just after this transmission was replaced! It is very clear that an engine sump plug should not be leaking oil immediately after coming out of a Jeep workshop where they pulled the top end of the engine
I have done it twice doing the EVIC method. In both cases sans may a couple ounces +/-, the same amount of fluid went back in that had drained out. Thanks for the facts man, I always was told i needed a scan tool. My bad and apologies if I mislead anyone.
Tell us how you really feel - and how it's obvious, they are all bad, everyone working there or having ever worked there is a cheat and liar and you can always do better, no mistakes. The water level was not even that deep... something must have not repaired or done right by stealerships. That echo exactly my opinions that any cars i owned would be sold once the powertrain had been touched by monkeys at stealerships!
