We? Got a mouse in your pocket?

You may feel like a sucker, and rightfully so, but it has nothing to do with Jeep. Unfortunately, like so many others you've been duped into believing that everything as it currently exists is undesirable, old is bad, and that the only way something can possibly be good is if it changes, becomes different, or by some unknown other's opinion has improved.

You should check the performance figures, the modern F1 power plant weighs more, is far more complex, is less reliable, costs ridiculously more, and all for a measly 100 horsepower over the 1986 spec Cosworth, which is also non force inducted.

If I were to drop a Cosworth into a 2026 F1 car, it would be instantly competitive.
If the modern engines were allowed unlimited fuel flow like the 86 engines used, the comparison would be laughable. And the reliability now is exponentially better than the 80s, do you actually follow F1 or are you just googling power numbers and making the rest up?

Oh, I have been a fan of F1 for decades. Even been to an event in Woking. Met Ron Denis before he was fired. Amazing man.

And yes, the modern plants are impressive, near 50% thermal efficiency is remarkable, yet the fact remains, drop a 1986 Cosworth into a 2026 car, and it is still competitive.

And truly, the regs for F1 stifle development in most regions of the car. Group C was far more technical, and was eating F1's lunch till the FIA eliminated the entire Class.

I yearn for the days when someone like a Chapman, or Newey, or Murray, could design from a blank sheet.

Imagine what they could come up with.

Below are some of the patches I have accumulated over the years

But don’t buy it because it’s a comparison between a Colorado, ranger, or ridgeline.
We did, but the Jeep was better in towing, had more rear seat room, and more fun.

By the time we get an updated Gladiator, the just released, all new 4 Runner will have a mid-life refresh. How about that perspective?!?
Toyota can keep their 5000 lb, CARB friendly 4 cylander suv and the taco for that matter. Its already ugly compared to the old generation.

As a group Jeep owners are rather "conservative" and we have been forever fighting for a vehicle that maintains what other manufacturer considers antique or archaic designs features such as solid front axels. Those of us that use our Jeeps for the purpose it's designed want ultimate reliability and toughness because getting stuck 20 miles away from a cell signal in the middle of nowhere is highly undesirable. So highly complex vehicles full of soft parts and tech fluff are not exactly "it". As a matter of fact if I gave up my Gladiator I would probably start shopping for an old LR Defender with a Diesel engine as a replacement for my desert adventures.

We also want to look at a Jeep and CLEARLY see a vehicle that honors a history going back to the 1940s. And that is something Jeep has done an outstanding job of. If you park a new Gladiator next to a 1940s Jeep there is NO confusion as to lineage.

So at the end of the day I do not want or need something that looks or feels like another Taco, Nissan, Ford, Chevy when I pull into a parking lot... etc. I LIKE the way people walk by my Jeep and take the time to check it out. Don't see anyone doing it with any other type of "truck". I'll take my dinosaur for what it is and what it is NOT, and I'll be more than happy to pay for it to stay that way.

Anyone that doesn't feel that way, well, the Toyota dealership is THAT way šŸ˜Ž °IIIII°

The JT is great i am on my 3rd. The only thing i hate is that the euros do not invest in them and treats us like ugly step-child. I believe they dont want the gladiator to take wrangler slaes and the upcoming Ram Dokata crap(Does nothing for me). They have been cheap with options for the gladiator. We cant even get 4:56 gears from factory SMH, Manual Trans ? Too lazy to pair it with correct clucth or invest any R&D money. Hopefully that changes soon.

Better in towing and more fun is exactly why we bought ours.

It’s a Jeep, it’s a truck, it’s a convertible, it’s awesome…. Nuff said bruh! Take it or leave it and move on!!! ;)
Your right however people do have legit reasons to be angry as brand loyalist. They do not do nothing for JT.

I am loyal, this is my 7th Jeep…. And I’m good ☺
Glad that your good!! But many people including myself feel like they can do a bit more. The current CEO BOB needs to get his head out of his ass and stop it with just new colors BS.

If there’s something that you don’t like, then chances are you can remedy the issue as there are many things in the aftermarket game that will fix it. That’s what’s great abt this platform. If you’re not satisfied with that, then maybe you’re in the wrong place. Not everyone can be satisfied with everything. It’s a fact of life. But what’s nice, is that there are many other options to explore.
