Some of these are duplicates from above, but this is basically a list of my add-ons that are available from other factory vehicles

sill guards,
12V & USB Power for the bed,
dead pedal,
compressor
bed step,
hood struts,
under hood lights,
auto window up/down,
More adjustments for the seats
Tailgate weather seal,
Fix locker sensor (consider addings potting compound) ,
side-view mirror with better blindspot visibility (already available on almost all export gladiators)
More powerful engine
I would love pre-wired power routing options ... but this may be too unique per use case: consider routing power to frame horns and back of bed with the aux package
Storage in tailgate and/or bed sides

How about better tow mirrors. At least make it a option. When I bought my 2020 it was billed as the best tow vehicle in its class. And it tows great, being able to see while backing up would be nice.

o a locking rear seat bottom. I love the fact the backs of the seats lock but the bottoms do not lock
If you jam something down behind the rear seat, the lower seat won't lift up.

let me use my phone's wifi instead of having to purchase a plan

@JeepCares
I've rescheduled my appointment twice because Jeep took back most of the loaners after COVID.

Hello Jeep fans!

We are looking for feedback on what features/options/colors/additions/etc. you would like to see in your Jeeps.
Please leave a comment below on anything you'd like to share. Keep in mind, this might not appear anytime soon but we want to know what our owners are looking for to make the ownership experience more enjoyable.

Thank you!

Jeep Cares
I just bought a jeep from a dealer and worked on that effort for a few months before buying toward the end of December. I think Jeep should consider emphasizing limited slip diferentials ) (LSD) as an important feature other than ignoring it. In reality, very few like 30% or less of those on lots (looking at Cargurus then getting the monroney) have LSD's. Now, if you want selec trac or Rock Track full time 4WD, well they are very few and far between. One dealer who ordered at least LSD on lot vehicles said, most customers don't even know what it is and they think, hey I got 4WD in a trail rated jeep, I'm good to go. AND, those people are the ones who need selec trac or at least LSD the most... That dealer put BOTH selec trac and LSD on most of his vehicles on the lot.

Further, you can't even order it on the "build" website. The only way to get it or even know anything about it is to do research and have a background AND order it at a dealership ensuring you find and then check the boxes to do so. In snowy mountainous areas even wet, it makes a big difference. I learned about them over time with three Ram 1500's. I originally had a 2013 Ram with the basic hi low 4WD. I was hitting the 4WD button all the time here in MT particularly during the shoulder seasons of snow. Then I got a 2015 with LSD and it was a distinct improvement. Finally I got the "Auto" 4WD and LSD on a 2021 and it was great and far superior up here. When I was shopping for a Gladiator, I found they had it but it was impossible to find or extremely difficult particularly on dealer lots. At least put it on the build site with an explanatory paragraph...so people can see it and consider it. Maybe an article or two as it is a selling point, market it as an enhancement to JEEP 4WD and you make money on it or use it as a loss leader feature and do a presser on it. Think outside of the box. Lots of "niches" out there begging for Jeep to target them...

Separate issue, and another point along with the above, IF you had made Renegades flat towable, you would have sold another million of them as virtually all Class C/A RVers looked at them or the Compass as one of the first potential towables including me. I've spoken to many who lament that it is/was not, ending up with some crap box two wheel drive. Some got a Cherokee but usually complain about it being too big but at least it was a jeep flat towable and not some Grand Cherokee that cost an arm and a leg...and too heavy AND, above the Compass, weights start to make jeeps too heavy for Class C's and even Class A's. You do see Cherokees but not many and Gladiators are pretty heavy too.

The Compass is built on the same platform, at least consider it as a flat towable and I do know there was one version of the Fiat 500 at one point that was flat towable, and maybe the lowest manual tranny versions were but I believe Jeep materials said no, so, The only problem with the fiat, is that it was a Fiat. I think you sold 740 of them last year. Many people are forced to the Cherokee (now gone too) as "toads."

People want a small but decent four wheel drive vehicle as a "toad" as they are going places where they would like some capability but a relatively comfortable vehicle. I mean really, Jeep LOST a lot of sales by NOT making the Renegade flat towable.

You now, only have the Compass as a small light JEEP. Add to it a bit and sell a bunch more than you normally would. Niche market, but one with money and a desire for a JEEP. But the Renegade was perfect in its small but relatively capable package. NOT everyone is filthy rich maybe well off in certain RV's but an inexpensive capable small light "JEEP" would be a very desirable "toad." You could even market to it, maybe have a "toad" special edition to test drive targeting RVers... Stellantis needs to think out of the box and use its strengths... It is not presently doing so.

There are threads in most RV forums where the Renegade is discussed as a flat tow... IRV2, "Jeep Renegade Forum," the "RVGEEKSFORUM"

May sound petty, but... limited slip differential.

Even consider hooking up with some manufacturers like GM does so, you have the "best" variants of various after market goodies that can be dealer installed but can be ordered at purchase/ordering. There is like a separate "accessories" section for ordering. You help your dealers and make some money. As you "build" like a Colorado, you can order these items, LIKE A GOOD TOW MIRROR... You don't have to make your assembly lines more complicated, you price them enough to make it worth the while for the dealers and its all profit for everyone and happy consumers. Think outside of the box Stellantis. You do have AEV versions of builds now in some vehicles, try this angle... Dealers already do it in some places, they would love JEEP endorsed and warranty protected items. I'm looking at a tow mirror right now that is one form fitted to the existing mirrors with an extension that snaps on and looks stock when on there.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - LET US HAVE THE 392 OPTION!!!!!!!!!
Well, Hemis are on the way out, but it would be nice as a last gasp version of the 392 but even a high output hurricane would do... And you get to hype your new tech...

I did and replied to that. Did you find anything
Reasonably priced gear ratio options that can be selected as a standalone feature, optional tire sizes, 6 or 8 aux switch option instead of 4, BFG KO2’s as the standard tires for Willy’s trim and higher, optional for all. Personally, I think that a Rubicon with 4.88 gears and 35’s would be the preferred customer quick order options.
Better manual transmission... Great idea, but apparently based upon a lot of feedback, and one recall, terrible execution.

Wireless phone charger and wireless carplay.
Aux switches standard
Power connections on top of the dash (USB)
Pre-routed aux power/switch wires for common aftermarket accessories (top of windshield, rear of the bed, etc.)
Upgraded insulation package / lined hard top standard
Modern engine option (ditch the 3.6)
And guess what. From one review at the release of the 24's, one of the Jeep people mentioned they had improved the sound proofing in 24 along the lines of the aftermarket sound proofing, in the doors on the floor etc. ONE reference is all I saw on a video or an article with I believe an engineer talking about the 2024 changes, couldn't find anything else.

AND the kicker is that if they really made those changes how BADLY Stellantis markets improvements. That is one that would impact potential buyers and all there is is one engineer casually mentioning it in a SEMA like video or article. As your suggestions point out. they addressed a key issue but nobody knows it. But then again, it was an early piece in advance of the 24's, and they might have nixed that and the Jeep person did not get the message so they DON"T want anyone to know...

Of course early is relative with the 24 gladiator particularly since it's 24 and you can't order one. They sprinkle them out across the land one or two per dealer just to taunt you...

My misc. thoughts in bold.

A "Rubicon Sport" with manual everything is maybe a little bit much to ask but:

-NON-MDS Hemi 5.7 V8, or at least a physical switch to turn MDS off that remembers the last setting, so the 5.7 stops cracking the intake manifold year after year...

I'd definitely love a 5.7 option, and I'd order a replacement truck with it, but the odds of that happening are just a hair above zero. Hemi's seem to slowly be on the way out. I think we are more likely to see some variant of the Hurricane. Time will tell.

-A physical turn key to start the trucks. That Keyfob is ridiculous and the only group that button system truly benefits, is car thieves that drive off with our rigs in under a minute thanks to the crappy implementation of the current system.

Man, I love not touching my keys to get in my truck. I wish my '15 Camaro had it. Heck - I specifically paid more for my Gladiator so I could get the proximity entry. Car theft isn't outrageous in this area, though.

-Either one Battery ESS system or a second full size spare battery that at least can be used by the overland crowd to power their fridges, starlinks, and quadruple light bars off of. In any case it needs to come with a physical ESS turn-off-switch that remembers the last setting....

I haven't had any issues with the batteries in my truck - but I wouldn't mind a simplified system like other make vehicles have.

- Raingutters that don't drain inside the vehicle when the doors are open

I'm used to wet knees from owning a JK for six years before this

-A one-piece hardtop option. All those stupid freedom panels have been doing for two generations now, is let water into the vehicle

My truck could have a metal roof with a traditional sunroof for all I care. Ironically removable doors and tops were hardly a bullet point I cared about when I bought my truck.

-No-carpet plastic floor cover option with drain plugs nonetheless.

I'd like this too.

-More heavy duty suspension & frame => Higher payload and tow ratings

These trucks already tow as much as half tons from the 90s and have better frames, so no difference to me here.

-Height adjustable interior rearview mirror. I'm 6'3" and the current one hangs right into the middle of my field of view.

I'm not even tall and agree with this. Rear view mirror is not in good location. I turned mine upside down to get it a little higher.

-A backup camera that only pops out when in use otherwise it's just constantly covered in muck out here in the country. MBenz seems to be the only company to have noticed and solved this desing mistake so far...

More junk to break. I'd prefer it stay fixed. Just me, though.

-or NO backup camera at all and instead proper, larger, two zone, non-zoom side mirrors as on every F-150 instead. Would prefer that anyway.

Two zone mirror not a bad idea.

-More cab and bed combo options: I'd Rather go for a shorter double or single cab with a 6'3" or even 8" bed for overlanding... Other might like an even larger extended cab and don't care that much for the bed.

We'll never see this. Though everyone says they would buy a two door, they would never sell enough of them in the real world to make it worth while. I got sick to death of driving a two door vehicle daily in my old JK. Again, just my thoughts.

-A larger fuel tank of 120-150 liters would be nice...

Fuel range ain't great. I'd go for this - but in freedom units

-The advanced safety group either an option or to be turned off via physical switch that again, remembers the last setting. Nobody needs this emergency brake assist, especially with how bad it working the way it's currently implemented.

I ordered my truck without all that junk - so can't speak intelligently to having it and not using it.

-Figure that hinge, door & hood corrosion crap out. Everybody's been laughing at Landrover for over 40 years now about galvanic corrosion on the OG Defenders Frame/body and you make the exact same mistakes in 2018/2020 on the JL's and JT's, just on a smaller scale.... seriously?!?!?
-heated LED-Driving lights

?

A Rubicon with the few options I want is 61k MSRP now for a 2023. When I first optioned it in 2020 it was 51k MSRP. And even then there was easily 10K of gucci crap that I had to get in order to get a Rubicon that I neither wanted, nor ever used on the JL. Same story with JT's and now with the 24's its even worse. Advanced Safety garbage, spa-seats etc are now standard on the Rubi. Thanks - no thanks. Make this stuff an option/options package or at least give us a convenient way to disable it...
