The ability to add options available from the factory but aftermarket. I purchased second hand and can’t find a dealer that will offer assistance with an in-bed outlet, heated seats, etc. I know I can get those aftermarket, but if someone ordered one without the cold weather package (I’ve seen this one over and over) maybe allow them, even with an oops charge, to add those and keep warranties intact?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD - LET US HAVE THE 392 OPTION!!!!!!!!!
You’re probably better off getting an AMW swap. Gonna cost you $30k+ but that’s probably what Jeep would charge us as an option anyway smh.

Edit:

That goes to anyone else saying give us a 392 as well (or even a 5.7L probably). The price difference between a 392 JLU Rubicon and the JLU Rubicon X is $31k. AMW swap is $35k.

Potentially a 4k difference between AMW and what would be a factory option from Jeep. However, at least AMW’s pricing is justified in the extra labor. Jeep just money grabs on market demand because rich folks and idiots pay dumb prices for these things.

Also, sorry to come across as rude. No ill-will towards the fellow forum members. I’m just annoyed with auto makers taking advantage of people with the ridiculous pricing. I’d pay AMW or some other smaller company a few extra thousand for a swap any day over an automaker up charging engine options/packages.

You know this is a Gladiator forum and not a Wrangler one.
I want to move to a Gladiator but I hate the 3.6. Honestly, I would buy a diesel if they were still available but then I run into the terrible payload rating again...

What about rental car or loans for warranty work....been rescheduling warranty work for 3 weeks now because of a lack of rentals/loaners. Annoying AF.

@JeepCares
Agreed. Jeep Wave says it promises a rental car when bringing in the Jeep for service. I just took my JT in for it's 2nd Jeep Wave oil change last week and they wouldn't provide me a rental car like they did last time.

My dealer is right next to an Enterprise Rent A Car and they used to provide vouchers for a rental from them, but they wouldn't even offer that. I've been going to this dealer for the past 15 years and they've never had their own rental cars - they've always given the Enterprise vouchers. instead they just lied to me and said they had no rental/courtesy cars available, without giving the option to go to Enterprise.

Ended up having to pay for an Uber to get home. Not the biggest deal in the world however I'm not getting what I paid for.

I really like my JT in general. The only issue I've had is the leaky rear axle which took 4 times to fix and my navigation system is currently showing me 100 miles away from my current location. The dealer made me schedule a separate appointment to fix the nav as they wouldn't address it during my oil change - which was kind of annoying.

I agree with everyone that Jeep is inflating their prices exorbitantly and trying to gouge us for every cent to make more profits. That only can go so far. At some point folks aren't getting enough value out of their money, and now you're seeing that demonstrated in the drop in Gladiator & Wrangler sales. At this price point I'm planning to keep my JT and fix whatever issues I have with it instead of considering a new one. That just makes better financial sense now than ever.

1) need an “X” package available for all trims: full float rear axle, 4:88 gears, high strength chromoly shafts 35”tires, and high fenders
2) Need a Truck motor! 5.7 or equivalent.
3)ELIMINATE!!! The aux battery!!!
I enjoy my 2020 JTR, but I need a truck, unless Jeep Cares listen's I won’t be buying another gladiator. Something better than the 3.6 is a must!

Left one out, competent service departments at dealership.

With 2019 JLUR every service call I had to have them dump a quart of oil because they overfilled (6 versus 5).

Also, teach your people to read a dipstick in addition to the other service instructions.

My 2 cents part 2.

A rear diff like what's in the Power Wagon. A gear driven LSD plus locker. And it's a full floater.

I'm an older man (77 yrs) and new to this game but always wanted a 'Jeep" or an original Dodge
Power Wagon from early 50's (I miss my manual trans). Drove Dodge Dakotas from 1996 until
2020 waiting for the promised Gladiator since first shown in 2005. I even wrote to Sergio Marchione,
Mike Manley more than once, received 1 reply. When the Gladiator finally made it's appearance
in 2020 the price scared me off, And then in March 2020 at the start of Covid a 22 yr old gal
broadsided my Dakota on slick roads and made my decision for me. With the start of Covid
ordering from the factory was off the table and I had to take the closest to what I wanted from
existing stock. And so I bought a 2020 Overland in Gator that was loaded with the insurance
settlement (it made a good down-payment). For those that care the truck is called either
Olive (as in Olive Oyl, Popeyes girlfriend) or D-Day (I took delivery on June 6 th). For anyone
who wants a 'custom' vehicle the Wrangler/Gladiator platform is a great place to start. There
is so much stuff out there that it is easy to build a unique vehicle just by bolting or sticking
things on. You don't need body, paint or welding skills, although I envy those that have them.
I was in the process of learning to arc weld when they decided I needed a pacemaker/ICD
and now that is out of the question. So far my mod have been modest, steel bumpers, winch,
Bestop sunroof for my Freedom top, next I hope to add a GMRS radio when I find an antenna
mount I like. I would still prefer an extended cab with longer bed, I do use my truck to carry
stuff, not people. Guess that's enough for now, haven't used 4WD much so far but it's a comfort
to have.

Sorry a loaner for an oil change is silly.

I'm making an appointment for warranty work and they have to "diagnose" it before they fix it.
