I ended up removing the skid plate brackets to get access to the sway bar mounting bolts. My recollection is that your skid plate brackets aren't as easily removable, so you might want to take a look to see if you can even get the sway bar bolts out. Otherwise it could be a spring project after your plow bracket removal.

Due to your current physical restrictions, when you're ready I can help get yours to where you can work on it and you can also see how well the manual knob works.
Odd, because the skid plate brackets are off to the inside of the frame and the sway bar bracket bolts are in the centers of the frame rails. I dug out pictures, and didn't see where the brackets would have to come off, but it's really not hard to remove them anyway.

I'm interested in the manual screw method as a backup plan if all else fails, but there's part of me that would love to actually integrate the bar into the truck.
But then spending $100 for the switch to do so - sort of defeats the wanting to do it on the cheap route.

(I'll be paying for hotel rooms and other expenses for a while now and having a neighbor mow the lawn because that's a no-no for me for the next few weeks. Can't wait to see our credit card bills for this past period. Ugh - not to mention when the stuff not covered this months starts hitting the mail box)

Well, it's not going to get installed in the next couple of months anyway!

Finally got the 4 link triangulated rear suspension installed. No more track bar. Now I have a nice Synergy track bar and their relocation bracket clean and on the shelf. I had Shift Autoworks install the RK kit and they did the welding. Great job. Rides great.

Check your inbox.
A few weeks ago I pulled the rack off to go pick up a couple of chairs. With the RTT on the trailer, no real need for a rack to be on 24/7.

Put the tonneau cover back on.

When I need a change of pace from my "to-do" list - which right now covers spreading 15T of gravel (not quite 1/2 thru) - I want to mount some lights on my half-rack and take off the cowl lights.

I got it done about an hour ago , but I didn't stop with the rears I did the front rotors and pads also . And rotated the tires . I hope to NEVER have to replace those emergency brake shoes again.
OMG those things was soooo freaking difficult. You was right @WILDHOBO , the cantilever shoe spreader was frozen on bothe sides. It is super weird that the adjuster and the spreader are backward from the opposite side . Obviously the reason for the arrow in the casting. Only thing I can figure is that the adjuster would screw backwards so they flipped everything....oooooor 🤷 this allows them to come on at the same time 🤷🤦
The Devil designed those E-Brakes
I am embarrassed at how long it took me but with frozen parts and then the spring from the Devils workshop I had a Heck Of a time . I WILL SAY IT TWICE. I hope to never have to replace those E-Brakes again.

Have you worked on brakes before these?

Oh yeah but those are the most difficult I ever done i have never seen a design like that either. Those springs have extreme force and the one in the back then in the front ( the long ones 😳) just horrid !

Additionally the cantilever spreader is super difficult to hold in place while trying to get thos springs on there is so little room . Awful job. I was many many hours.

Just wondering as there have been left and right adjuster screws since forever.

Yes but in this design the spreader is upside down versus the other side which doesn't make sense.

I have SO MANY times, for a diy person that is. And those parking brake shoes are rough. Really rough.

And he has, many times from what I gather talking to him. It’s just an awkward setup that requires you to have seven hands and an octopus brain.
