So today I installed the @TeraFlex forged HD draglink. I WANT to thank @WILDHOBO For the recommendation.
This draglink is a beast I mean Until you see it and pick it up you dont realize how strong and heavy made this thing is.
I did have a hard time getting the taper to let loose on the pitman arm side . Had to break out the butane torch and heat it . @WILDHOBO warned me it would be tough. After that it was pretty straight forward. The fact it is greasable and the joints also came with a special tool to adjust the slack out of them and or tighten them up a smidgen. Well it was said I would love it and guess what . I do. Man that thing looks great. .

Nicely done. Yeah. That thing is really solid. And NO jam nuts. Huge smile for no jam nuts. Also I’m drinking and grilling, so huge smiles might be unrelated.

Drove the Jeep today to work without the 200 lbs of shit hanging off the front and it was so weird. Very touchy.

Just dug through everything to gather all the original parts to see if I could list my original bumper + winch plate + hoop + fairlead could sell for anything. Pretty pricey setup though for what is essentially just factory.

Prepped the ARB front bumper...

But the one set of original parts I CAN NOT find are the frame reinforcement brackets that go to the inside of the frame at the horns... And I've seen some people say they didn't get included with the steel bumper equipped jeeps and others say they did. The installation instructions for the winch plate I installed say to remove them. The installation instructions for the new bumper I have say to keep them. I don't think it'll be detrimental if I install the bumper without them but I'm just so annoyed because I kept EVERYTHING and I can't find these brackets. Wish I could remember.

But anyway, if somebody in the MN/WI/IA region is looking for a built out mopar steel bumper...

Safety wise, you think plastic is a good material for a application like this?
It's actually ABS filament, so yeah, it's safe!

Retired. Finally !!
Last week on Thursday, I believe, I put some car was soap in my pressure washer and gave the undercarriage a good soak in soap, then rinsed it off with the pressure washer, but stayed back as to not over do the pressure. Much easier than my previous knuckle buster method; lying on my back with a scrub brush, a rag and Simple Green.

While at AutoZone today, I noticed they carry quite a selection of Griot's Garage products. If you've every read any of my posts, you know I'm a fan. They had Best of Show Spray-on Wax. I already use their Best of Show liquid wax that I apply with a random orbital. I bought the Spray-on Wax with the intent of waxing the undercarriage. I got one side of the frame and components waxed before my sanity returned and went inside for a Pepsi. It truly is a sickness. Being retired affords me this sickness, I got time now to do crazy crap. But I AM liking that shiny black look when I look in the fender wells.....

But I have to go back and finish.... I created a monster.

Looks like the same ones I installed today. My OEM latches have been a frequent snack for the squirrels in my neighborhood so I’m hoping they don’t like the taste of these, lol. And extremely straight forward and easy install I might add.
