Washed, clay barred, and applied Adam's Graphene Ceramic Spray. Not quite the real pro ceramic application, but it turned out nice. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures before I started. I've only had the truck for a year, and I'm surprised how much grit the clay had removed. There was quite a bit of grime imbedded into the clearcoat. The Adam's spray did okay on some plastic parts, like the hood vents and side mirrors, but it didn't do anything to the plastic cowl piece below the wipers. I used Car Guys plastic restorer for most other parts.

The hard tonneau cover was badly faded. I tried Adam's, Turtle Wax ceramic spray, Armor All, Shine Armor, Meguiar's carnuba wax, Nu Finish, Car Guys, polishing compound, etc. The only thing that made a difference was the Rust-oleum Recolor (the most expensive per volume).

I clay bar each of our cars once a year. This is one of the best detailing steps I ever learned about. I bought my Gladiator new off the dealer lot this past May. Not sure how long it sat on the dealer's lot, but I was very surprised by the amount of grit/dirt I removed when I used the clay bar on it.

Great info on the bed cover. I'm still debating which style I want to go with. Fading of the material wasn't even on my radar as to something to take into consideration. Thanks!

Got the 20" light bar mounted that came with my cube lights mounted on top of my sport bar. Still not sure I like the way I routed the wiring from the engine to the bed......anyone have ideas on best way to do it?

I've been researching vehicle gun safes since I got my Gladiator and finally settled on one. Got my new Vaultek today. I've laid my hands on several cheaper pistol storage solutions, but some had hinge pins that could be pushed right out or were otherwise easily compromised if you had 10 minutes and a paperclip. It was between this one and Fort Knox, but inconsistent reviews on the fingerprint reader for Ft Knox safes pushed me to this one. The Vaultek seems worth the extra scratch ($300) from a security standpoint and opens fast if I need it to. There are four ways to open it; it has 4 to 8 digit combination entry, an app on your smartphone (using the same combination as the safe), an instant fingerprint reader as well a backup key. Will secure underneath the seat with a provided cable and the app will alert my phone if it's tampered with or opened. Can fit a full size 1911 and 3-4 mags, which is exactly what I plan on keeping in it. A vehicle is not a gun safe, but this should take more time than the average thief has. And I don't plan on keeping a firearm in it 24/7, but will on trips and such. I'll update further after I've had some time with it, but set up and programming my combination and fingerprints was a breeze and it pops right open with the touch of a finger -and the interior being illuminated when open is a plus.

Said I'd update with a photo of a full size 1911 and 4 (stacked) mags inside of this safe. Definitely fits and could hold extended mags, within reason. Here it is:

Next time the hard cover fades, I'll seriously consider painting it, as it will be cheaper than applying the Recolor ($15 for 2 oz.). The Recolor did wonders on my garage door, which is also painted aluminum. For the garage door it was worth it, as painters were quoting several hundred dollars to paint a two car and single car garage door. $30 of recolor and about an hour took care of it for another 5-6 years.

Just like the tonneau cover, you can see the dramatic difference. Good luck choosing a bed cover!

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Bestop Sunrider on Friday afternoon. It was delivered today around noon (kind of a surprise since it is Labor Day). So, I went ahead and installed it this afternoon. I know people have been having issues with attaching the z-clips, so wasn't looking forward to struggling with them. I watched several installation videos on YouTube - and they all showed bolting the door rails onto the jeep and then placing the "deck" onto the rails, bolting it down, and then attaching the z-clips. However, the instructions that now come with the Sunrider say to first attach the z-clips to the door rails, then bolt the rails onto the deck, and then lift everything onto the top of the Jeep and bolt the entire assembly onto the Sport Bar. I tried to follow the written instructions and after 20 minutes of trying to get the *&%*$ z-clips attached I gave up and followed the Quadratec YouTube instructions. It went together easily! I like the way it fits onto the Gladiator and the ease of opening and closing it! I think it's a great addition to my truck!!

With professional supervision, I cleaned bedliner out of the holes in my bed in anticipation of mounting some tie downs. I would have ACTUALLY mounted the tie downs had the USPS delivered them to the correct address (mine). They say they’re taking care of it.

Also mounted my BJD Customs rear window storage bag in my shop, full review to follow (spoiler alert-I love it. )

Installed DV8 front diff skid plate. This was much easier after installing the Rubicon front Springs. Plenty of clearance between the plate and the track bar which was an issue w stock springs. I also cut some material to improve clearance.
