Nothing major or exciting. Looks like I have months to prep for the 2022 to come in and replace my 2020. So, as I can afford $ I'm ordering in some small stuff to make the next time better, like different fog light brackets for the steel bumper.
And when there's time and/or opportunity, refreshing the hardware for the bumper and other parts.
Today was prep more bumper bolts for plating, and a bit of time plating the 8mm clip nuts for the front bumper. These were clear zinc and as they were from China, the plating wasn't great and they had already started to rust (but the bumper is fine, just the hardware so far)
So these got stripped of all zinc, cleaned up, soaked in hot caustic cleaner, and plated - (I like the gold or yellow zinc color better LOL - like who sees them when installed)
As far as what I did "to" - this is more "getting ready to do to".
