What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Last night I ran Clark’s Grade 1N54 up the backside of Big Bear. Some switchbacks a little washed out and bumpy but nothing a determined Subaru couldn’t handle.
Some good views south, BUT 2N10 is still closed for a couple weeks so no exit to Big Bear, had to go back down to the 38.

I haven't been up there since last July. Did you pass that skinny spot on the shelf with the log on left that puts your passenger tires right on the edge of a long dropoff?

I just looked at the map. That spot is on 2N10. SO you had to turn around at the summit?

You can run along 2N10 at the top, but the gates at the entrance by big bear are closed?
To be fair the west end of 2N10 was impassable at one spot due to deep snow drift, so I went back east and curved around another road, forget if 2N17? But had to go aaaall the way back south to get off mountain.

I was curious about some of the road closures in that area. Some of the lower access is closed from washouts, Seven Oaks road for one, and I'm waiting for them to open so I can take some day trips out there.

The Gladiator did great! It was a beautiful trip overall.

A few days ago Rosie and I completed a 3,000-mile road trip through WA, OR, NV and CA. Our final destination was supposed to be Death Valley, but the harsh winter rains damaged a lot of the trails we were planning to do. So instead we ended spending time on the Eastern Sierras.

The Gladiator did great! It was a beautiful trip overall.

I'm so jealous of all ya'll who live out west in that beautiful countryside!!

Around here... (East Coast) - It's very rare to find anything remote, that nobody else knows about, or isn't private property. Sure.... Game lands are somewhat remote and public..... You gotta be careful in those game lands, or else you'll get your head shot off (even if you're wearing blaze orange).

I sooo love it out west. It is sooo beautiful and different out there..... I'd have to fly out and rent a Jeep sometime. I've been to Moab (as a passenger) 25 years ago. The hubby hasn't had the pleasure of seeing Moab......

That and family are a big part of what keeps us here and putting up with the lousy state government.
Family is forever but hopefully this miserable .gov won't be.
