Just got back from Hot Springs ORV park and running the 4 badge trails there, in my opinion Quartz Canyon was a little bit of a let down, BOH app shows it as 5-6, I'd give it a 3. Snake is nothing big. Favorite trail of the 4 Badge trails was Fun Run.
Rubicon Ridge was a lot of fun, but the first 1/3 of the trail is the best. We had a JK get too high on one of the drops, she rolled once -

Cosmetic damage only, she drove it off the trail and proceeded to run Fun Run and Snake right after the rollover.

Day 2 was more challenging trails and more crawling on rocks, but we didn't do any 5 diamond trails because of her rollover and shaky nerves.
We did Ultimate Adventure, Squid's Jaunt, Rock Fink Ravine, Ravine, Gorge, and Bubba's Stump. Each had a nice technical area to climb through and fun rocks a few felt like a tight squeeze for the Gladiator but overall it did everything well. Coming off of Ravine onto F20 I got too high and waved my rear end in the area at the Jeep behind me, which with her trauma the day before had her literally throwing it in park and noping out of the driver seat for that drop.

Late Aspen viewing trail run to Jenny Creek and Rollins Pass East. Most of the aspens were bare. Last week light snow storms and cold took their toll on what was left. Still beautiful scenery and fun times.

That’s how you do it. Assuming I don’t break it tomorrow, count me in next time. :)

I hit Stoney lonesome in AL. that’s reasonably hard terrain. Way different, meaning way less, traction than out west. Alabama doesn’t mess around.

I sell beans
Bought mine almost two weeks ago.

Today
* I replaced the factory radio antenna with a stubby.
* Decided my initial GMRS plans weren't going to work
* Ordered an edge style mount for GMRS
* Began work on running power to the bed for my fridge and battery pack
* Selling off my JKU stuff, unneeded now.

I'm headed up there end of the month with a stock Willys with a leveling kit. I would like to get at least one BOH. Any advice/recommendations?

Thanks!

Getting down to the last few runs of the season. Sunday is Jenny Creek, near Tolland, CO. High of 64°, so tube doors on, with heated seat and steering wheel in the morning. Testing out the new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 35's.

I would say start with Snake, it's the easiest, some off camber and nice hill climbs and descents. If you are feeling good after that still, I'd head to Quartz Canyon, with your Willys having the LSD rear should be fine in the rock garden and I don't remember anything that a stock Jeep couldn't run on that trail. I'd probably stray away from Rubicon Ridge or Fun Run until you put at least a couple inches of lift in it (if you plan to).
@WILDHOBO was there in the last couple weeks too. Dan, anything in my assessment you think is off?

I’d agree completely. Fun run is probably easier than rubicon ridge, but I still agree with your recommendation.

That looks like about the same terrain at the BADLANDS in ATTICA IND. Clay, sand ,streams ,ROCKS OH BOY!
That clay likes to stay on the tires .Mild to WILD trails
Looks like fun.
