Mother….Fffffff I’d be soo pissed!! They should be paying you to rent a car while they look for your keys. If they can’t find your keys… then what? I’d force them to pay to have everything changed (keys, codes, security, everything).
You don’t need some random person ‘out there’ with your keys. Screw that…..

All good now, they found the key and gave us an extra night stay on the house.

Was going to drive it around Stowe, VT but the hotel valet lost my key fob. I ALMOST brought my spare for some reason too (no idea why).

They think it may have fallen out of the valet guy’s pocket into another customer’s car LOL

Reminds me of a few years back pre covid when we were staying at a high end hotel in New Orleans and used their valet parking. When we were ready to leave gave them the valet ticket and 15 minutes later they informed me that they had locked the keys in our Jeep and were calling a locksmith. I told the no problem I would just unlock it from my phone. They were amazed I could do that from my phone. Sure enough in a couple of minutes here they came with our Jeep. Love the ability to control that stuff from my phone.

Yea I called Stellantis hoping they could start it remotely and drive home like that. They kinda gave me a runaround. The hotel found my key before I could call the other number that Stellantis gave me.

It all worked out though. It’s snowing a shit ton here right now and it’s really beautiful. My newborn son was able to experience his first snow which is cool too (he didn’t like it). Kinda funny how the universe works.

I’ve got the poor persons 7”, but added a system so I can start and unlock, etc for my phone. So great.

Well this was a 2014 JK Polar and not as computerized as today's models. We just took delivery of a 2024 Jeep Gladiator NightHawk and it is way more computerized that my 2014. The NightHawk did not have an alarm option from the factory so I had a Compustar alarm installed that gives me full control from my phone. Wouldn't have any other way.

Yep, mistakes are made all the time. For me, it's more about what they do afterwards to make it right.
Just admit you screwed up and then try your best to make the customer happy.
