Day-month-year or ISO 8601 (year-month-date) are the only acceptable means of posting dates.
Fine, picky picky picky. LOL
Yeah, I used to work in an ISO company that sold electronic control systems around the globe.
A lot of automotive parts were dated with a year then week of the year, or like you said - the ISO method of year.month.date

100 years ago or more - a lot of certificates in the U.S. were dates with something like:
"On this 15th day of January, in the year of our lord 1890"
for example.
So, you get 15-1-1890
what happened to us to switch things around later?

Yes.
My wife has a really fancy (and not cheap) German coocoo clock.
It's got a wire you can pull to shut off the sounds, or shut off the sounds between 10pm and 8am.
Well - how the heck does a 12 hour clock know which 10:00 it is?? I'd love to know that one.

My brain completely went haywire the other day when I got a meeting invite from a vendor that had the time as 02:00 PM.

I emailed back asking if it was 02:00 or 14:00, or 2:00 AM or PM.

A truck doing truck things……😊
Every year, we have a big July 4th party at the house with a pretty big fireworks display (our neighbors tag-team with us). Taking a couple days off to get everything (outside & inside) cleaned up and ready for what could be 30-40 guests. Then….. it’s time to coordinate making all the food and get that cooked up before Friday @ 6pm. A lot of work…but we’ve been doing it for about 10 years now.

Yea!!…. with room to spare! 😊 The hubby is gonna fill it up again with yard clippings for another trip!!

It’s a fun party…but I’ll be glad when it’s over. The hubby and I can finally relax and enjoy the rest of the summer !!!

Since my son didn't join the Moab trip last week, I took him to the BOH trail Beasley Knob OHV. A little freedom activity if you will. Had my buddy's power wagon with us some how snaking through the trees too. Picked up a couple at the trail head from Tampa that wanted to do the trail with us. And finally once we got near the back exit came across a basically stock 4Runner that would've prob never made it out if we hadn't had him follow along with us due to the gate being locked at the rear exit.

Took a kid to a birthday party in Denver to put more breakin miles on the new front gears. Then picked up a set of tube doors from a forum member on the way home. Right place and time. I’ve been unwilling to take the rear doors off with kids for safety reasons, but I think tube doors are a reasonable compromise. They’re super excited.

Anyone who sees your Jeep in person would want to follow it places. Such a nice build.

Let’s not forget the Whitworth tools

A friend of mine sold me his 1967 Series 3 Land Rover complete with the engine torn completely down.

Rebuilding it was fine except I needed a couple of Whitworth tools.

Lucky for me my neighbor used to work on old british motorcycles so he had a complete set that I could borrow.

Note to self don’t buy Land Rovers from friends…

Appreciate the kind words from someone who has an awesome build themselves!
Thanks. It’s always a work in progress, but I do take pride in the setup. I think it’s mostly been pretty well thought out. Many wouldn’t want anything like mine. But I have very specific goals for it, which often steers the build decisions in weirdo ways.

The build matches the personality? 🤣
