What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Towed for the first time. Actually my first time towing anything on the road in almost 30 years. Backing up was... not perfect.

Truck didn't seem to care about the extra weight, but the gas mileage sure did! I didn't realize towing one brick behind another could make the aerodynamics that much worse!

Picked up a 5x8 utility trailer for $200! It's absolutely road worthy except for a broken brake light lens. Pulled it home zero problems. Saved myself $900 there. After that, I drove to Pittsburgh to pick up some Golden Eagle Ravine wheels for the TJ. These things are MINT. Supposedly under 100 miles on them. They look it too. and some new soft half door uppers. Total spent plus gas and food $1000. Damn good day!

Took my friends camping. Sarah’s Creek in NE GA outside of Clayton, GA. I also took them all the way to the top now that it’s back open. It’s rougher than I remember, but it never bottomed out or even slipped once.

So, I tweaked my back yesterday, so instead of laying around being bored, I figured I could grab my buddy with the freshly rebuilt shoulder, and we could go exploring!

So, we hopped in my gladiator and headed out to Dixie Valley by way of Project Shoal, the northern Nevada nuclear test site.

Had a great day till the end when I got close to an improvised SCUD, but as I pulled away I got caught by some barbed wire which managed to get three wraps around my axle before I could stop.

Took a few minutes to climb under and cut the wire away, fortunately no damage was caused.
