So my Glad wanted to get ready for our first trip in the next couple of weeks. Wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with setting up all of the toys we got over the winter. Also, wanted to place our gear wear it needs to go while we travel, so today was a good dry run....

…dominated the snow. We had a “blizzard” last weekend which was nothing, but 10” of wet heavy snow means everyone struggles on hills. Live in Maine, and it’s very obvious that Covid has affected the number of snow plow drivers.

I could not be happier with my Mojave’s performance. Ground clearance and stock 33’s blow throw snow with no problem.

Could be happier with selec-trac… But conditions have warranted 4H many times. Can’t say there’s a BIG difference on snowy pavement, but if you know you’re going to slip, 4H is the way to go.

Decided to go to Kehrsiten on Lake Lucerne for the spectacular road and found out it was blocked with fallen rocks and pavement works. Took the free shuttle service with the JT on the ferry instead. This must be the only place in Switzerland where you get something for free….?

I have JT Mojave. The tent I Bed tent from Amazon, the airbedz from Quadratec and the additional tent from Napier. We cannot wait to actually camp in this set up. It was easy and quick to set up and take down.

Took a family cruise down some back roads and found a cool nature preserve I didn’t know was there and had a little fun testing out the 4hi.

Ordered some spotlights (waiting for them to arrive and fitting to be made easier having the aux switches pack). I have also been beginning to think on the style of canopy I will have made up and rough designs for a truck bed kitchen.

Still getting out and about though. More camels (they're not as common as one might expect), a climb to the highest point in Qatar (just over 100m!) and some more soft sand adventures.
