I purchased a used Sport Altitude. I added aftermarket leather seats. I have every option except the max tow package and the cold weather package. If I were to do it again I would add both. Other than that I'm very happy with my. Gladiator coming from a 2018 Tundra Crewmax.

Love the looks of your Rubicon, yeah I don't need to tow my 5th wheel, it is great and valuable information to know that I can't do that, that isn't a deal breaker. Thank you all for the valuable information!

As someone whose 2021 max tow is currently at the dealer for a check engine light (misfire) at just under 30k miles I recommend the GX460 model.

If all you want is 2 inch lift and 35s, I would recommend Rubicon. I have Willys that I ran 35 Milestar tires and 2 inch AEV puck lift for 3 years on 3.73 stock gears in Colorado. I was averaging about 20-23 mpg on highway. I drive like a grandpa and don't go anywhere fast. Now with Rubicon you will have 4.10 gears which will help a lot with 35 inch tires and if you at sea level you will be fine. Just remember, these things are not rocket ships, if they were meant to go fast they would not be shaped like a brick.

Also, be prepared to replace the windshield more often than any other car.

Oh ooh I got it! Get the highest trim model you can afford.

Amidoinitrite?

Lol but in all actuality it's pretty close to that. The fancier the model of Gladiator the better the resale value holds if you are ever looking to sell.

P0303. Hoping it’s an engine accessory (spark plug / coil / sensor) and not the valve train.

by the way to answer op’s question I do recommend the max tow if you are going to buy one. It has some good upgrades like 4.10 gears, wider axles, better alternator etc for pretty cheap. I would only get a rubicon if you think you will use the locking diffs and elecronic disconnect sway bars otherwise that’s just more complexity waiting to break.

You do NOT want to tow a large boat or 5th wheel with a Gladiator, no matter what it's rated to tow. The power is merely adequate and the handling is primitive with no trailer. I can only imagine how lethargic and unruly it would be with a large trailer.

Sport max tow package with auto trans seems to be your best option. They have the highest capacity. These can go up to 35’s with no lift. If you aren’t off roading, it’s pointless to get a higher model, although they come with a few things Sport doesn’t. You can get a loaded sport s max tow with almost everything you could possibly want. Make sure to get the sport “s”. The non “s” version is extremely basic…like crank windows. For me, I would get a Ram Cummins if towing was a priority, but of course it won’t have the cool features like going door less or topless.

Is the Overland trim option gone? That’s the answer and it’s rarely recommended. I have a Sport S and that’s also the answer. If you can find what you want with the Max Tow option then that’s a bonus. Anything else is overkill for this scenario. My opinion of course. *prepares to dodge the Rubicon and Mojave lovers*

How about the knight hawk? I think I saw people in the forum talking about them as if it didn’t provide much for the money?
