Nothing. It's free thanks to sponsors and ads...........
but it's saved me some money, I'd bet on that.

I guess if you subscribe to Einstein's theory T=M then there's been a cost in that respect.

Forum has not cost me anything. Now, what it has saved me is a few thousands...

Rubicon Rails for $100 instead of >$1k for aftermarket sliders
Rubi Take off suspension and Daystar level lift $200 instead of $2k for all out lift kit
Mojave wheels (5) $400 instead of $1600 for new aftermarket

I'm sure more will be saved as I continue the budget build.
Add to that Rubicon steel front bumper $500 instead of $800>

Passive Entry Kit
One-touch Window Control Module
Horn Button Decal
"Auxiliary Switch" Module

But, on the other hand, I found out about the Maximus-3 Tow loops, which saved me considerable over a normal baseplate.

So I'm probably about even.

As for time, it's entertaining hanging out here with the rest of you hoodlums!

I’m not going to list each part I’ve ordered and installed. I’ll just say
under 20k, but only just under. :). I should also say I love every single upgrade, so screw it. Let’s go off roading!

I probably should be embarrassed? Maybe start some support group and try to break this addiction??
But

No idea how much this forum has cost me? I don’t think I want to add it up. The funny thing is, I was going to keep it stock and just get rims and tires plus the Edelbrock supercharger. I decided it was too expensive and I would go with a “few” mods. Joined this forum for ideas. This is where that road has taken me so far
.

Rims - 17x8.5 with 5.0in backspace (+6 offset)
Tires - Toyo AT 35x12.5
2” spacer lift - piece of crap that had massive surface rust and worn bushings within three months. Terrible ride on and off road.
2” mopar lift - very happy
Trifold hard bed cover.
Mopar soft top
2 piece Alien sun shade - broke two of the bungee cords
1 piece Alien sun shade - replaced the two piece.
Front steel bumper
Winch
Replacement rope for winch
Steering stabilizer
Snorkel
Front track bar
Front e-locker
Front diff cover
Trigger 6 shooter power distribution
Front AAL fender chop with sequential lights
Plastic front inner fenders - don’t remember where I got them, but they look good.
AAL Aluminum front inner fenders - unpainted - not installed yet - probably will sell them??
Rear plastic inner fenders- not installed yet.
Bushwhacked rear fenders- took them off because I didn’t like the look.
B&M shifter handle for transmission and transfer case shifters.
Midland MYX275 radio - removed it after a couple months. No reason other then I didn’t really need it. Probably will sell it??
Two hand held GMRS radios - work just fine for my needs.
Rock sliders
Aluminum hood louver
Retro side strips - not installed yet
Rock hard aluminum full belly skid plate.
2 6” off road light - not installed yet.
Blanket seat covers.
Cheap air compressor - only use it a couple times a year.
Speedflate inflat/deflate system.
Curt wireless trailer brake controller.
Husky liners floor mats.
Tazer - removed it. Didn’t need all the options and it was a pain in the ass to use with the steering controls
Superchips flashcal - works great for my needs and easy to use.
Maybe Rockjock front sway bar next

So far just some mudflaps, headliners, grab handles and some other sundries. All upgrades and good things, but the big thing for me is not what I’ve spent, it’s what I’ve learned. For that I am grateful.
