My 2022 diesel bottomed on any speed bump. I could replicate it daily in my work’s parking garage. I used the Clayton springs RustyPW linked earlier with Bilstein Shocks to resolve. It is a firmer ride, but I love it compared to stock.

I noticed this too with my 2025 Mojave when pulling into my driveway there is a curb. Anything over 8 mph and it hits the bump stop on the passenger side front. My 2025 JL Rubicon doesn't do this.

I guess my question is "how much bump is too much bump" for bump stops? Mojaves aren't necessarily made to have a front steel bumper and winch, but I've got one and a 1.5 inch Teraflex spacer. Doesn't bump on road, over potholes, but hits fairly hard on slow travel offroad.

When does it go from nuisance to concern/damage?

I've got the plastic front bumper and have not heard it thump when going over train tracks or potholes. I've only noticed the thump with my driveway curb pulling in at a straight approach over 8 mph going at a angle is not a problem and is quiet.

It's a known issue. Most take care of it with a leveling kit, or a lift kit. I have the JKS hydraulic bump stops. Thinking on swapping them out for either King or Fox.
Why are you swapping out the jks?

My '23 Sport EcoD had the bottoming out issue as well, even with the updated bumpstop design and the updated shocks. Adding just a 1" spacer on top of the springs and switching over to Bilstein 5100 shocks resolved the issue for the most part. I've been driving it like this for over a year, and I've forgotten it was a problem in the first place. I know I have hit the bumpstops a few times since, but probably for good reason, and it is not a heavy slam if they do make contact, unlike before, where a small pothole would cause it to slam and hit hard.

Thanks, everyone. I’ll look at a spacer before getting the full lift.

I had Rancho shocks for years and they performed well enough for my use. Living in SoCal there was no worries about rust. I had the 9000’s on a Ford Ranger for over 10 years with no issues.
I even had another set put on my Jeep Liberty. Granted it didn’t really see any offroad though but they lasted nearly 10 years with no issues before I sold that Jeep.
I ran Rancho RS7MT shocks while I waited for my King 2.0, honestly not much of a difference until you hit bad washboard or high speed stuff. Kings look way cooler though...

I would imagine the Kings outperform the Rancho on washboard by factors too. I’m old school though so I don’t haul butt on washboards. I’ve been tempted to get Kings because of their reputation and looks. I presently have the stock Rubicons and I think the suspension is perhaps a little soft as the butt seems to compress a bit on the freeway bumps. Might even be a bit bouncy for my liking. But I haven’t really gotten any trails done yet for final thoughts. We went from rainy (and muddy) to hot this year. Doctors appointments have been eating up off roading opportunities too. ☹

By the way, found the tsb was for Gladiator only. Dealership told me too bad for my 21 3.0 Rubicon JLU that has rattled my teeth since new.

Are there time and or mileage limits on TSBs?

No, but you need to understand that a TSB is not the same thing as a recall. A recall needs to be performed unlike a TSB which is basically just a heads up of how to fix a particular issue that falls outside of normal service manual instructions/troubleshooting. A recall entitles you to getting the outlined service done at no charge to you, whereas a TSB does not once the vehicle it outside its warranty period.

Keep in mind also that the TSB for the bottoming out issue as discussed and as I posted here back on page 1, has applicability years/models/etc that your newer vehicle will not fall under.

Oh, I don’t have a problem with bottoming out (thank goodness) I was just learning.

I was the Beta tester for these springs. They raised the front of my JTRD up about one inch.

Hey thanks for recommending these springs! I just installed them yesterday. I gained about 2.25" of lift. I expect them to settle closer to advertised. But I'm very happy with them so far. Top is before . Bottom is after. (Pictures down play it). But it looks much better in person. The front end sat way to low from the factory. And it still has a slight forward rake, which is exactly what I was wanting.
