What..was…that…sound…

Got a fun one… driving in this morning to work, and heard a rather loud bang/sound…it sounded like someone closed the truck bed while I was driving, pulled over, checked everything, nothing amiss..

Any guesses on the sound? The front camera shakes as the sound goes off. Thought maybe my windshield cracked but I can’t find any cracks.

I saw the same, checked the tires to make sure I didn’t hit a nail or anything.. so far nothing I’ve seen.. might need to drive back over that way and check it out. Potentially just a perfect situation when the tire hit the difference in pavement and made a pop.

Check your spare tire. Doubtful but it sure sounds like a tire blowing. I had one blow up in the trunk of a car once.

Truthfully sounded like a blow out, but these suggestions are top tier, appreciate everyone jumping in here.
Spare is safe, no damage anywhere else on the jeep, gonna chalk it up to the demons that haunt me daily

Is that the Hwy 19 exit off I-285? I haven't seen that in years! I went to DeVry in Chamblee, back in 1982.
I didn't see any changes in the road in the video, but that area has always had uneven pavement with those scratches in the pavement for "winter traction" back then. It looks a lot smoother now.
Hopefully, it was just shifting cargo, or maybe even the car that was changing lanes, I noticed his brake lights flickered right after the noise. They may have heard it too.

I think the grooves are still there but worn down! Driving on the same stretch of road in Cup 2 tires with next to no tread, you can hear the hum and pitch change of the grooves still.

Couple of years ago headed down 140 to Alpharetta, I heard a thump in the front and even slightly felt it in the steering and when I got to work I found a bat had flown into the front of my Tacoma I had at the time. It was still alive. I left it there as it was dark and after work it was gone.
