When I change my hardtop to the fastback top my gas mileage goes up 10%. That being said it is also a look preference.
As for the JT if you look at the roll cage design it would not even be an option.
This is the Rubi HardRock that will be sold very shortly (lol) for my JT. First 32,000 gets it with all the extras or the dealer for 31,000 and no extras.

I had the TrekTop for my JKU when I first got it... I liked it as a soft top more than the normal top, it looks cooler. I sold it after a couple of years when we got a trailer to tow. Taking the hard top off by myself is too much of a pain so I would put the Trektop on in the spring and go back to hard top in the fall... but since I pull the trailer in the summer I just leave the hard top on all the time.
My biggest reason to go with the TrekTop was because I could easily remove the back and side windows and have a bikini top when my doors off (I dislike freedom panel/moonroof/sunroof roofs... sun shining directly on my bald head is NOT compelling to me.)
I'm not sure I'd like to see it on the JT because the bed is "so long" it'd just look weird.

I have the Trektop NX on my JKUR during the warmer months. I'll be selling it this spring and buying the NX Glide version as it folds completely down into the back of the Jeep. Much easier to go completely topless as the regular NX is a PITA to take it completely off and put it back on when it's raining.
Besides the fact that it's probably not possible with the Gladiator I don't think I'd like the look on it compared to how it looks with the JKs and JLs.

We have the trektop/slantback on my wife's JLU. Our main reason for switching from the factory top was garage clearance(factory bows in the top sit 3-4" taller) and the bikini "mode". Neither of us liked the safari look with the factory softop windows out. We briefly switched to a hardtop, between the two tops but almost instantly missed the soft top.
On the Gladiator I don't think I would like the slant back tops as I like the utility of the bed/racks. I do like the look of the Gobi above, but for how I'm building the Gladiator it wouldn't make much sense.
