I just bought a 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave 4X4 with Customer Preferred Package 24D that was sitting on our local Jeep lot.

I just bought a Hothead Headliner for my Gladiator and want to remove the hard top to install the headliner, but I cannot find where the Torx Tool Kit might be located in the Jeep Gladiator. I have looked everywhere. Has anyone run into the same issue? Thanks... Dennis

Should be in the glove box. It's a green canvas pouch with a ratchet and a couple of bits. If it's not there, I would suggest talking to your dealer about the missing kit.

If it isn’t in there, call the dealership and they will provide you one. If they push back, let the salesman know that you will finish your survey after you get it. That survey is worth far more than a $20 tool kit, but you just spent a bunch of money and you are owed that tool kit.

Good ideas, and you should get the kit if you want to have it. It's just a cheap chinese POS hex ratchet.

But in case you just need to get the job done before that - it contains T40 and T50 Torx bits, and a 15mm hex socket. That's all you need to get the top off (and maybe you already have those)

Mine was also missing and I had to push the dealer a little bit to provide that thing.

After opening the nice bag I was really impressed (in a negative way) about the lousy and look-and-feel and quality of the tool.

+1 on the asking for it… but y’all don’t have torx bits laying around?

I don’t think I’ve used the Jeep branded one, just a good ‘ol craftsman torx bit and a Milwaukee powered ratchet make quick work of the rear hard top bolts.

It was missing when I bought my 2020. I called the dealer and they mailed me one. Like others have said not a great tool kit but I paid for it.

It was not to find, but the dealer did provide a Jeep Black Torx Tool Kit with a couple of bits and rachet for me.

The tool kit is like a camera. The best camera is the one you happen to have with you. That beautiful Digital SLR isn't worth squat if you don't have it with you at the moment you see a killer shot you want to take. My collection of tools is at home, but the admittedly very cheap tool kit is always in my glove box with the truck...

Mine was missing too. I had to talk to the sales manager to get it. To their credit they tool care of it quickly. In addition, my bluetooth speaker was missing too. They looked pretty lame, but again, to their credit, they handled it well. If they don't snap to it, just delay the "survey" until they take care of you.

You guys need better sales people. When we buy through our current dealership. Scott makes sure everything is there, and has even gone to the vehicle with us, opens the glove box to show the manuals, opens the console to show the tool kit laying in the top of the console, and shows the rest in the back seat or under the back seat.
He's the sort where if anything was missing - he'd hunt it down for you - with just one ask.

All three of mine were in a bag under the back seat next to the jack. They are sometime pilfered on the lots before sale and most times when you go back to complain, they go out and snag one from the next JL/JT on the lot to give you and repeat for the next guy.

Some of the better dealerships will pull them and the recovery kit bags if that was optioned and store them either in the Parts Department or one of the locked areas at the dealership and give at delivery.
