Your in park and not moving. The gas models dont calculate mpg when in park running.

Oddly enough my 22 diesel does. Which loweres my MPG using the remote start. :\

Or it is calculating. But if you're not moving, you're not going to be able to go any miles per gallon. 0 is correct for stopped. You'll use gallons of gas (eventually) without any miles. What does your diesel say when you're stopped?

It says current = 0 and the total mpg average slowly goes down. Faster than you would expect but it goes down. same when stopped at a light with ESS disabled.

The calculation is going on whenever the engine is running, as gas is being consumed. The instant MPG Display has nothing to show if the vehicle is parked. The trip meters will show the calculation, and it does drop rapidly when stopped, especially right after a reset. I regularly use the remote start, and it does have a negative impact on MPG for city driving.

Looks like no one resolved the issue. Mine went away to come back temporarily and now has been gone for weeks. There is a glitch and it appears it’s stuck on one screen. If you notice the green dots at the bottom don’t cycle left and right. My next step is to disconnect the battery.

Update. In the dash screen menu I reset to default and after turning it off and back on it came back. Here is what it should look like.

My 22 did the same with less than 200 miles on it and no matter what I tried it never came back. off, on, reset to default, disconnected the battery too. I actually lost a few of my icons and then had to do a soft reboot to get them back and still nothing. I guess it’s a trip to the dealership.

I was about to write a thread on this but glad I found this one.
This is a known issue apparently from some Facebook groups I'm on.
Though I'd like to still run it through this forum in case someone found a way to solve it / had success with the dealership solving hat. Seems like there is a UI bug where the instant MPG page disappears and comes back when stars align. I am not aware of a Dealership fix so far and they say 22s don't have a software update so far last I checked a month ago.

Any news? I'd like to avoid resetting my settings etc and I like playing the instant MPG cruising game. I'll probably switch to constantly displaying some gauges on my OBDLink+ App but this is slightly annoying..

I spent a few hours at the dealership this morning with the same issue and they didn’t have a clue. Said give us some time to do some research and they would be in touch. I won’t hold my breath.
