I tried to sell my wife on the low pricepoint of the cloth seats but the moment she saw the cloth accent on the passenger dash she ruled it out. Didn't want to stare at dog hair on the dash.

She was right. We went with leather and I'm 100% happy with that decision.

I bought mine in 2022 when they were had to come by... had no choice and got cloth. I am disappointed how dirty they get so easily and what a pain it is to keep them clean. Wish I had leather. Cloth is comfortable, but I also worry about the wear on the bolster where I slide in and out. It's looking kind of rough after only 3 years.

Get leather if you can. If Catskins weren't so expensive I'd buy them but they are pricey.

Based on your post it comes down to 1 thing.

Do you plan on hitting the trail with the doors off?

Leather is easier to clean.

I don't do any serious off roading and hate leather for the reasons you mentioned.
I do ride with the top off and I couldn't imagine how hot leather seats would get sitting in a parking lot with the hot sun beating on them. It would burn my legs.

I'm cloth all the way.
I've had cloth for 5 years and have offered it with the doors off the most of the summer, including sand dunes. I used a Bissell carpet cleaner on the seats, but you can't tell if they're cleaner or not.

Nice feature with the leather are the rear cup holders.

All Gladiators have cup holders on the floor at the back of the console.

Gladiators with leather have an additional fold down armrest in the rear seat back with cup holders in it.

Edit: I do not care if my rear seat passengers have places to put four drinks vs two, so this was irrelevant to me on the leather vs cloth - but it's a feature for those who need it.

Maybe they mean, center console in the rear.

Oh so you folks with the leather seats have the fancy jeeps. Us cloth people just have to make do with 2 cup holders. Now I may think twice about getting leather in my next jeep.

I have cloth, so I'm in the po-folk camp.

I'm not buying another Gladiator - so additional rear cup holders certainly won't sway me on leather 😄

Cloth. Leather gives you swamp ass in the South.

They seem like vinyl to me, not the leather seats from years ago.

Looking at ordering a 26' Mojave. Actually ordered it last week but no VIN# yet so still time to change my mind. Kinda up in the air with interior. I've had leather in the past and found them to be hot and sweaty even in the great white north. So kinda leaning towards the bolstered Cloth but heated for those winter months. Thoughts?
On the mojave, I really like both, i think both cloth and leather look fantastic. I would say the leather is easier to clean, had some blobs of mud on them, and it was a simple wipe and done. Heated seats and steering is a must, don't know how i ever lived without it. LOL

Looks wise, i think they both look great, cleanup if you get them dirty, leather will be easier to clean, if they get wet, leather won't have the "wet jeep smell" that cloth "can" get if you don't dry them properly. But yeah if you wanna same save some money and go cloth, it's not a bad option.

But I'll also add, I'm in Houston, we are sub-tropical. We know heat well. The AC in these things works great and with remote start, i went with leather.

Having a Sport S with the nice factory heated cloth seats? With a German Shepherd Dog that sheds? I’d rather have a nice tough leather seats!

For surface or spot cleaning leather has cloth beat hands down.

If you’re prone to getting dirty like I am cloth cleans up nicely in the wash!

Peasant! only 2 cup holders for you! :CWL:
With cloth seats you also have to take all bypasses, no going over the premium off-road sections, you have to take the poverty bypasses. :CWL::CWL::CWL:
