I went last year ,had a good time .There is a campground at the entrance to the park with clean showers .

All of those things sound like too many people for me

We're going to Merus Adventure Park with a group of 6 in April, and an overland trip in Colorado (another group of 6 or so) in late July.

Looks like a good time. May/June is probably a good time to have that event. My boss sent me to Mississippi and Alabama in August once. I didn’t understand why he was laughing when he told me. Then I got off the plane and ran into a wall of water! I think you call it humidity? Holly crap! That was the most uncomfortable air I have ever tried to breath.? And I’ve been to many different parts of the country in different seasons. 125F in the desert, 50 below in Buffalo, but that was an experience.
I do have to admit that I met some of the nicest people while I was in that area.

Yes very nice area ! And the people for the most part are great also. But yes the air is thick and hard to breathe if you’re not from here lol. The Gulf Coasts of Ms. and Al. Are gems !

Jeep Beach is a sight to behold so I go there for a day (and it's close.)
As far as people, I bought a Jeep to get away from them, lol.
Can't even bring myself to go on a trail ride with any of the local groups.

Every now and then we host a trip and take ten rigs out for a few days or a week.

By the middle of it we're like man we're too anti social for all this - why did we do it

An informal Utah trip with 7 other Jeeps in late April, a May trip to Phoenix for a conference and the AZ badge trails, and three jamborees; Bears Tooth in Wyoming(August), Ouray in CO(September), and Death Valley in CA(November). If I schedule anything else, I’ll get in trouble.

Have a great time. I know many don’t like the Jamborees to avoid the structure, but I really like the opportunity to meet new people. Both of them I’ve done so far have yielded new friends. One of those friends (forum member as well) did Tillamook last year and said it was amazing. I did the Rubicon expedition last august and it was an unforgettable trip. And you can’t beat Moab.
