Who all has changed out the stock Mojave Fox shocks for something else? I've already had my stock shocks rebuilt once, and they're due for it again. Debating on upgrading to something other than the OEM 2.5. I'm lifted 2 inches and currently using shock extensions, and will likely be going up to a 3 inch lift in the near future. I know there are quite a few options available that work on the Mojave now. Just looking to get feedback from anyone who has something other than OEM.

Any remote reservoir shock sized in length for a 3" lift will be just as good as those fox stuff. Look at Bilstein 8100's heck there are at least a dozen type

look up accutune, they had fox 2.0's tuned for your ride around 1600. I know that's a drop in size, but solid price. they also offer adjustable fox 2.5 DSC and King 2.5s, adjustable and non. 27-3300.

thats the way i was going to go if i didnt get a mojave (or when rebuild comes up)

That's not remotely true. You can get 2.0" reservoir shocks that are a downgrade all around. Even most 2.5s aren't bypass shocks so they won't be nearly as effective at damping at speed in the desert. Sure you'll gain some travel with most aftermarket shocks, but the vast majority are a downgrade from the 2.5" internal bypass stock Mojave shocks. The 8100s are available in a bypass shock, but you're looking at ~$4,400 for a set.

I put on a Clayton 2.5" lift and use Falcon SP2 3.3 adjustable shocks. I really like them. I even tune them on long road trips thru many states because some roads just aren't as well maintained as others. I prefer them firmer on good roads and then soften them up on sucky roads. They make an insert for the Mojave for installing the front shocks.
