Diesel, LOL.
Yep. On my other screen I reset it after running some errands in town. Drove to the Apalachicola national forest…wheeled…drove back and was at …

What I’ve found is, baring head wind and hills, the point of diminishing returns is about 60mph. On this trip I closely paid attention to setting the cruise to the posted limit. Now, at 30-45mph I’m over 30mph.

I average 17.4, stock Rubicon, automatic, gas. On a long highway trip may get up to 18.6 but that's if I keep it around 70.

Stone stock Overland (took delivery in July '19) and about 19,6xx miles on her now

The weekend after I got her I drove from S.E. PA to Boston, MA and back for my birthday weekend (watched the Red Sox CRUSH the Yankees at Fenway :rock::rock: ) I got 23.5 mpg calculated fill to fill...brand spankin' new and I knew that it'd only get better once she broke in, and it has.

Two recent trips, one from S.E. PA to northern Michigan averaged over 25 mpg, calculated, but, the dash at one point was showing low 22s. That was in northern MI where speed limits were 75 mph and that tank calculated at 22.1 mpg. The trip average mpg wuld have been higher except for that. The rest of the trip, speeds were kept at 70 mph. Even had one calculated tank at 28.2 mpg.

The other trip was from home to Raleigh, NC and back. Again, calculated was 26.6 mpg, dash was showing around 27 mpg. Kept speed to 70 mph going down (I-95) and coming back, coming up the DelMarVa peninsula (cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, I-13 and 113 to DE Rt. 1) 65 mph (a little over the speed limit but still).

I typically get 19+ just bopping around, calculated fill to fill (18+ in the winter). And that was from the very beginning.

Towing my trailer (27' hitch to bumper, ~5,300 lbs loaded) I get between 12 and 13 mpg.

So, keep these aerodynamically challenged vehicles under 70 mph and they'll do pretty good. Of course, those getting in the upper teens on the highway because you're running ginormous tires and the like, I can certainly understand the drop in economy.

The only mod I'm doing to mine will be going to 275/70/18s when the factory 255/70/18s wear out. That's to enhance already really good towing stability.

My last several tanks have been about 12 MPG, but I don’t commute, so the Jeep gets used mostly for towing or off-roading. Everything else is driving my MTB across town to the trailheads, so continuous stoplights.

I’ve had highway tanks as high as 22 though.

I must squash all of your mpg. Yeah I know it was a gradual downhill grade. Some ups and downs. I thought my computer was going haywire! Drive from Flagstaff Arizona to our Airbnb in Albuquerque 347 miles almost exactly a half a tank. I don't think y'all are ready for this.
Diesel!

I get around the 14 mpg mark, less in winter, really depends on your mods. Adding a Smart cap took mpg Down from 16.5 mpg to 14.

The little thingamajig that let's you know in real time what the fuel mileage is that you're currently getting has changed how I drive lol. Well, for the past few weeks anyway. I wanted to see how high I could get it. Was surprised when I saw 23MPH... Before I started paying attention I was getting like 16-18.
I was out on back roads in upstate New York in the Adirondack Mountains and this was my gas mileage. 50% AC on 50% AC off.
What are you guys getting on average?

That’s impressive! I’ve been recording gpm since the price hike. 20.5 has been the average. Over the weekend I was in the Whites of NH, managed to get 21.5 for the duration of the trip. Gotta love the Downhills! LOL

I think I'm around 15.4, so I have you all beat. The lower the #, the more gas I use. And more is better. More money, more vacation, more power, etc.

You guys sip your gas like those pansy British sip their tea. Pathetic.
Just looked at mine and I’m 15.4 as well.

I once did an experiment for half a tank to see how good gas mileage I could get in my stock Mojave. I was able to get something like 21 mpg, but hated driving like that. Now I drive how I like (with a pedal commander) and generally get around 18, maybe a bit worse on the freeway.
