Back in '99, I scored a 570 piece Craftsman set from Sears Outlet for just $39. All USA made and they came in a box that weight atleast 60lbs. I still has all the pieces and using them. Other than that, the rest are Proto.
You're telling me you never lost a single 10mm since '99? Blasphemy.

I believe him. I lost my first ever socket last year, of course it was the 10mm - and I've been wrenching on stuff for over 20 years. Keeping things organized and always putting tools away helps a ton.

When you have the rachet pawl break inside the rachet head causing you to break 2 ribs. I stay away from HF now.
That sounds like a good reason… I need more detail on the injury for the sake of curiosity. Did you have so much pressure on it that burn doke and you cracked your own ribs? Did a part fall on to you?

I don’t think I’d endorse anything outside of my winch and the sockets… all of my ratchets are craftsman, drewalt or husky.

I have the big Pittsburg impact set and I went with the mid range Quinn's for the house in both SAE and Metric. I have not had an issue with either sets. I use Quinn ratchets when not using the impact's.

I did fill in the missing sizes (on the US General socket organizers) with either Craftsman or Techtron's from Amazon.

I used to have a really nice Craftsman set I bought as a kid but also as a kid, I didn't take care of it. Lesson learned the hard way.

I wish. I was bent over the engine finishing up an install of a Borla header on my 4.0 XJ. When the rachet broke. All of my weight went down on top of the radiator cap. Hitting 2 ribs. I laid on the garage floor for about 45 minutes not moving. Trying to figure out what happened. I wanted to cry so bad.

I'm not sure many ratchets would handle that kind of force without failing.

I was tightening up the last nut. It was up against the fire wall.

And the header probably eventually cracked just like your ribs. ?

The P-80 on the left is a looker too, I always loved how sculpted the intakes were on that aircraft, even if they weren't very efficient.
That P-80 is #5123, it set the speed record in 1946 going from Long Beach Ca to LaGuardia in Ny in 4:16 mins and 1947 it won 1st in the Cleveland Air Races in the Jet Category and it was the 1st JET to carry AIR MAIL

Some really cool planes you’ve got there. That Nasa shuttle trainer in particular stands out, as I am typed in the G1159 as well!
Shuttle Trainer is not long for this world...
