Unnecessary, all JT’s are Trail Rated from the factory. There’s a badge on the fender flexing about it.I guess part of the fun is the build, but I like the idea of driving off the lot right onto a trail. I had to wait til I did some work to my JT as a stock Sport S
With the diesel option, no. With the 3.6, I'm not sure of. But I think it's no too.Can Rubicon be had with Selec Trac? If so.... CVs on that option.
Wrong. U joints. That's what is on mine.
This was sarcasm, right?Unnecessary, all JT’s are Trail Rated from the factory. There’s a badge on the fender flexing about it.
Do you have the Rock-Trac Full-Time 4x4 system?Wrong. U joints. That's what is on mine.
Yes “Rock-Trac Full time 4wd” is what it’s called on the JT/R and it comes with CV.Can Rubicon be had with Selec Trac? If so.... CVs on that option.
No. I tried to build a diesel Rubicon on line with the Rock Trac Full time system. Wouldn't let me do it. With the 3.6, it still shows it.Do you have the Rock-Trac Full-Time 4x4 system?
I think it was kind of both. Jeeps are built to handle "trails" in stock form, and that's why they badge them as they do. But the definition of a trail varies wildly, so some people see the badges as marketing more than anything else. This was sarcasm, right?
Exactly. That’s why you have U joints and not CVs. If you had the rock trac full-time system, you would have CVs not u joints on your Rubicon. I understand you’re a diesel and that’s not an available option.No. I tried to build a diesel Rubicon on line with the Rock Trac Full time system. Wouldn't let me do it. I'm pretty sure the brakes are the same as Gladiator brakes.Throw 35s on a Mojave and you're pretty close (frame reinforcements, iron knuckles, higher factory lift). All you're missing is brakes and the spare tire reinforcement.
Before I had my Gladiator, my only way to haul things was with a high end lightweight utility trailer. It's all Galvanized and Aluminum with a 5x8 dimensions and a perfectly flat floor that was only about 16 inches off the ground.JT > JL
More form and function. If you're a home owner, having a truck is where its at. If you honestly think about the Pros and Cons in a realistic manner, the JT will prevail everytime. Can't pull 8' 2x4 in the JL
