Show me where GPS and AM/FM frequencies overlap and use the same antenna.........I'll wait.

Your basically saying CB radios and GMRS can use the same antenna.........fake news.

I spent a lot of time in my career doing RDT&E at White Sands Missile Range testing/exploiting DoD comms equipment. If you want me to geek out on antenna theory and explain how GPS cannot use the as same AM/FM antenna I'm happy to use my other skills as a certified technical trainer. I have copies of all of my certifications of you need proof of my subject matter expertise.

Where did you disconnect it from? I removed my antenna (radio) at the mount ('23 Gladi) and have had no issues.

One end (gnd) of the embedded antenna has two connect points (that are fixed to windshield, solder) and the other is connected with wire to a snap like connection to windshield.
This system is tightly coupled with the unconnect box, also mounted on windshield. The box also has microphone, speakers and connection on dash to camera facing occupants.

Perhaps, that "open" ie unconnected antenna, was detected after 3000 miles of driving, then sent an interrupt to gps via their integrated on board network

I reconnected the antenna, and now the vehicle runs fine.

I want to bypass the end it emits and that monitoring system 😊

Seeing you just got the truck I would look elsewhere for the power loss issues. Jeeps quality control sucks, I would not be surprised if there is a bad electrical connector. Just out of curiosity when disconnecting the antenna did you snip any wires?

I did not snip any wires nor crimp any. The snap connection to windshield, is much like that of a snap found on a shirt.

Ahhh, microwaves are part of the RF spectrum.

Thanks for this visual. I have never taken the top off my Mojave and wasn't sure where these were located. Now I am wondering if mounting an aluminum roof rack would interfere with their operation?

The Aluminum roof rack might not interfere too much, but cargo definitely will. I just had a Lone Peak Overland camper installed and I don't get a stable SiriusXM connection anymore. I'll be relocating the SiriusXM / GPS antenna to under the windshield wiper tray. I'm following this guy's instructions:

Thanks for the info, all I have up there now are my traction boards, but I plan on adding a solar panel at some point and may then have to move the antennas

What's in the black box behind the rear view mirror? I don't have that on my '21?
