No

Since I got the rear LEDs in a different package, I did not want to partially double pay.
With the Fog Lights on, I have no issues seeing at night and there are plenty of options from take offs to aftermarket to simply bulb replacement.

I have Quadratec Heated LED's [Re-Branded JW Speaker] on my TJ and love them and if I really want LED's on the JT, I will add those. I don't mind that they are slight smaller and have an adapter ring.

Yes. You’ll regret it. The non LED headlights are the worst I’ve ever seen on a modern vehicle. I couldn’t be happier with my LEDs and I’ve never had one car flash their high beams at me.

My '18 JLUR came with the stock incandescent lights, which I upgraded with LED bulbs. This was a "decent" temporary upgrade. Then I came across a set of factory LED take-offs from a salvaged Gladiator, and I was able to buy them for about the same cost as some of the aftermarket lights available. Install was easy. Holy crap what a difference!!! The stock LED lights are awesome. The light housings are built to distribute the LED light so much better and evenly than the bulb upgrades in the old lights. When I traded for my '20 JTUR, the LED package was a must-have.

Now, the downside. As others mentioned, snow/ice can build up on them due to the cooler operating temp's. Not an issue for me in TX, but it could be for you. Several aftermarket companies now offer lights with built-in heating elements.

Whatever direction you go, yes, will probably want to upgrade to some type of LED light at some point.

I do have to say that even though I didn't order the LED's I will not keep the halogens. I had planned on order the LED's while the truck is being built but did realize the issues Oracle was having which kind of soured me a little. I didn't want to spend the extra money on the factory upgrade although I wanted the steel bumper just to take them off to upgrade with the Oracles.

Yep. I am starting to wonder if I will regret not getting the LED'S on my recently ordered JTRD. I had given consideration to getting the steel front bumper but also had to get the KED package as well. My thoughts at the time was that I was planning on getting the Oracle heated Oculus headlights along with the Oracle taillights, reverse lights and fog lights.

However since I have placed my order I have started reading up a little more on the forum about their products and the issues they have had. I had mainly not wanted the factory package due to no heated headlight. So now I am thinking I may regret my decision here.
You will regret it 100%

Mine haven’t been icing up and filling with snow on my 11/21 build. They seem like they’re melting the snow and ice. Maybe something has changed? They’re warm to the touch in very cold weather. Maybe they connected a tube from the drivers seat to the lights and my ass is warming them up!

Should have made this thread with a Poll attached.

Yes, I think the LED's are actually quite good. As good as my wife's Lexus with the Triple Beam headlights. Plus, I love the look of the outline that the taillights use. The Wrangler's hourglass outline looks better, but these are definitely acceptable.

Will regret it 100%. Don't skimp on options like this. Better get the LED package than the bedliner. It's 2022 a car without LEDs/Xenons isn't worth having

My biggest concern is the issues that Oracle is having with the headlights. Doesn't sound like they have a fix for it yet. I can go ahead and replace all the rest. If nothing else I might just put in a set of KC's just to have everything LED.
What issues are they having with the headlights??? What model???
I've had the Bi-Oculus Switchbacks in for quite some time with zero issues.

I would say, yes.

My wife's 21 Overland has Halogens. My 21 Rubicon has LED's. I went with LED's because I had LED's on my 2021 Tacoma and earlier on my 2018 Tundra. I never want to do the Halogens anymore. The wife was just excited to get her Gladiator and didn't think of the LED lights. To be fair, her 2018 4Runner had Halogens so she didn't care.

I am sure you will retrofit the Gladiator with LED's and not give it much thought after...

The truck is ordered. Lack of LEDs isn't worth regret and canceling an order as they are EASILY added and for less money than the option costs.

To me, canceling an order would be for:

Wrong trim.
Wrong engine.
Wrong color.
Missing Max Tow and you need it.
Wrong trans.

More serious stuff like that.

REAL TIME SNOW STORM DRIVE

I went back and forth too when I ordered mine and was very concerned with no heater element in the factory LED headlights. Just went for a long dive in the Nor'easter we are getting in CT right now, no ice or snow build up at all on the head lights.

Windshield defrost and factory wipers WILL need to be addressed! Wipers build up badly, upper corners of the windshield has a lot of build up too. Need to get the blocks for the defroster vent to get more air at the edge of the window.

Some issues with the heating elements on the new Oculus lights. A fix is in the works, and all of us who were affected will get replacements when available.
