No lie, My first 4x4 was a Chevy Scottsdale back in 1980 and it had a Warn 8274 on it. I pulled many vehicles out of a ditch with it. I wish I could get one for my Gladdy!
I almost got one of the anniversary edition ones, second hand. Still pissed on missing it. Upgraded to 10k and synthetic line. It was posted for sale with pictures, I saw them posted I'd buy it at listed price no haggling. It quickly got delisted. The person must have looked it up then pull the posting. It's was for sale at close to cost of regular 8274. I must have been to excited to buy it. :headbang:

Good to know. I also used my factory tow hooks. I wanted to keep an Anvil/black theme. Didn’t want red tow hooks. I do like the Warn Evo 10s. Do you know if Warn winches ever go on sale?
Sorry to say you missed their sale by a few weeks. They had ~$700 off a few of them. You might catch the rebate sale happening. It was a mail in rebate I saw last week or so?? About $500 if I remember correctly.

I had a 8274 on my first ever 4x4, Chevy Scottsdale. I am on eBay daily trying to find one I can afford. Pulled many a vehicles out with that winch!

Building up my JT for Overlanding. I want to install a winch on my Chinese Knock Off Mopar Steel front bumper. The included winch mounting plate looks pretty stout. Anyone out there have any issues mounting a winch to their knock off st
Budget up to $1000 if needed.
Thanks in advance.
I've got the OEM bumper which I like but I've spent a couple hundred just getting the plate etc for it. I looked at Rough Country as low as 599 bucks, winch ready. They have different choices within a couple hundred bucks. They also include lights with most bumpers, good lights, not total trash.

I presently have a rough country rear bumper on my Ram 2500 that I really like. My after market guy like them also with one exception. He says, they are good but generally at about five years, you might have to have them re-painted as their powder coating isn't as good as like US models.

I have a Fab Four Matrix bumper for the front of my truck and it looks new after three years. The rough country still looks good, but you can tell in a couple more years maybe not as good. But still decent stuff from them. My after market guy also says the welding isn't as clean as the US stuff but the price is like a third...well until the Tariffs hit.
