Hey Y’all,

I am looking for some help in identifying a wiring harness located on the passenger side. The harness is located under the glove box and it is pretty big in circumference. I’d say probably about 30-40+ wires located within the harness. The harness continues through a rubber gasket in the firewall And then out the other side of the firewall. From there it branches off into a bunch of different ways. Does anyone know what this harness is called, a part number or anything else that would help me identify what it is so I can purchase a replacement. I’ve looked through a lot of different websites, forums and even wiring diagrams and nothing touches exactly what this is exactly. Hopefully the pictures help.

thanks y’all

What exactly is the problem? Did you nick something running a wire through the firewall seal? I did that doing my aux switches install and just ran a bypass wire than deal with that harness.

That seal and harness is like one of the main artery harnesses between the engine bay fuse panel and into the cabin. You will probably have to tear apart half the forward interior and back engine bay to replace.

that is exactly what I did. Except it wasnt Just one wire it was like 10 of them… throttle is acting weird, the starter cranks for awhile and then starts up and the shifter had a service light. Rewired The nicked pieces solved The shifter service but throttle and starter is still acting up… I will look into your suggestion. Might be easier. Knowing me I’ll end upmaking this a project on top of a project lol… do you know if this harness has a specific part number when you came acrossed

Ouch!

My problem was small and only one power wire to the auto dimming mirror circuit. I just scabbed spliced off the interior 12 VDC power port and called it good. Your issue sounds way more involved.

You may want to try and find the break on each wire and pull them out from both sides of the seal and then spice and service loop piece on one side and route that to the other side and splice onto the other side wire break. I know that area on the inside is a pisser to get to.

I think @kevman65 is on the right track with his post on the main body wire harness. Like he mentioned, you may want to hit up Benny at All Mopar Parts with your VIN to get the exact part number. Just by the diagram you are going to be tearing apart the whole interior.

Attached is PDF's I have showing the main body wire harness for various path. It will be the blue harness in each PDF. Give you a point of reference of where a lot of it goes.

Good luck.

I do hope I'm wrong, cuz just OUCH.....
I was contemplating this same picture it appears it goes into the engine bay. Big ouch but thankfully other than the time it will take and money. It should be back up and running again. Thanks for the contact as well I am going to reach out to him. I appreciate your response and help. Maybe I’ll even post an update after it’s all said and done.
