Discovered a new one here in Hawaii for the holidays. Dozens of Tacomas and 4runners lifted 8"+ running 31-33" tires. I'm talking top of the tire well below the rockers. What the hell is the purpose of that? They way as well not have wheel wells with their giant lifts and tiny tires.

How in the hell do they even go 8” lifts on IFS? I mean…MAYBE 6” suspension with 2”body lift? Those 6” lifts are all bracketry….. and body lifts? I can’t imagine the size of the LIFT BLOCK in the rear leaf springs….😳🙄
Gotta post some picts!

Bluetooth CV joints up front.
The only time I see this on an IFS truck it's either RWD, missing the front drive shaft/front diff/CVs, or has the most absurd drop-diff kit up front that the ground clearance isn't any better than a near-stock truck.

I think that one gets a pass since it's the model name. But if you put your social media handle there, please punch yourself in the dick.
No, that's on the bed band. 🤪

Agree with all the prior comments about bad Jeep trends including angry grilles, ducks on dashes, colored door hinges, mall crawler 20” rims, low profile mud tires, small fenders, anything FabFours, etc.

Here’s one trend that I do not understand: hood names. Last time I checked, a Jeep is not a boat.

These are usually displayed prominently on both sides of the hood:

It takes an enormous amount of consistently bad taste and gawky personalization for a group of car owners to earn a nickname: JEEPLE

The problem that I have is this collectively contributes to a stereotype that all Jeep owners must be IQ and/or good taste deficient.

I’m sure I’ve hurt the feelings of more than one person and if so please flame away. This way we can more easily identify the Jeeple among us. Lol.
Hey now. Sometimes there is a reason that doesn't scream "Look at me".

My JK is named, picked by my wife. I'm not a JEEPLE and my JK is not a mall crawler. It started life as a Sport and slowly grew into the trail rig it is today. It's been flopped, it's been towed off the trail several times, some due to me screwing up, some due to strange breakdowns.

It wanted to be a Rubicon when it grew up.

Before someone calls ME out on it my forum handle was BEFORE Jeep selected Gladiator as the JT’s name and we all thought it might be a retro move with “Scrambler”. But I also don’t feel compelled to slather that name down the side my hood…

@cranbiz we’ll consider giving Wannacon a pass (it is close to Wantbacon BTW) but only IF you peel off the cowl stickers and the colored door hinges and handles as those are all considered contraband by the Jeep Police. 😂

O.k ..two things that make me angry...ducks covering the dashboard..do these people actually offroad? These stupid pieces of plastic will fly all over the vehicle maybe lodging under the brake pedal..plus ,sorry ladies super femme looking...stop the madness! Second, tires that stick out from the fender..dangerous as f..k and bad for the vehicles and other drivers..If you want your beautiful Jeep to look ridiculous take off the fenders and put oversized tires on....or get a ATV for much much cheaper!
My state has a zero stick out/poke rule on tires for the yearly safety inspection but I see many on the road with in state tags and no enforcement is done, guess it's a law only on paper or they all have two sets of tires/wheels one for inspection time and one for the rest of the year.

I happen to like the red accents. It breaks up the black. The one black hinge I have is simply because I bent the original one at Potts Mountain and I needed to replace it in a hurry. Haven't had time to pull it and paint it. Plus it reminds me how stupid I can get when climbing rocks.

I will also add, the cowl stickers were made by my wife with her vinyl cutter. For the sake of a happy life, they are not going anywhere.

🤮

I want to see that take a corner at normal speeds...
Because if the center of gravity were any higher, you could knock it over by breathing on it...
I guess it helps that even the highway here has a 50mph limit, that randomly drops to 30-35mph every few miles. Being laid back helps keep it from being laid over on is side.
